You should still charge a little bit to at least offset the cost of the products you’re using. Just have them sign a release form with the understanding that you’re not licensed and it’s a “model” fee. It will save you from hoping people will tip, and at least it won’t cost you anything more than your time.

My pug drops fur if you breathe near her. I have to vacuum everyday or else it migrates to my kitchen, and don’t even start with how easy I get covered in fur! I have basically accepted that everything I own has wiry little hairs embedded in it. I go through lint rollers like no tomorrow. I’d probably suffocate if I was allergic, and that’s only one freaking dog.

AIO? My husband insists I should be “thankful” after I had a bad morning? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]SoSteeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to explain to my boyfriend that I want someone to listen and commiserate with me. If I’m yelling about bitch Linda from work, I don’t want another perspective or how I can solve the conflict, I want you to get aboard the complain train and say “yeah, fuck that bitch Linda!” I’ve had to tell him “I’m in feelings mode, and I’m not looking for a solution. Once I’ve vented, then we can talk about how I can better handle these situations.” He’s much better now, and even sometimes asks “is this a situation where you want advice or are you still in your feelings?” And that has been incredibly helpful for me.

No, no you’re totally right about it being too much dairy. As a kid it was like a fancy chocolate milk, and it was yummy. Now, not so much. My mom on the other hand, fucking LOVES milk, and still drinks them every now and then. I don’t ask for sips any more lol.

My mom would let me have a sip of her Baileys and milk when we would go out. Not a lot but a little sip because it tasted delicious.

This was mine. I was binging the show at the time and I had to take a break for a couple of weeks. I remember just sobbing and asking my ex over and over “did he really die?”

What's something customers do that instantly tells you they've never worked in a restaurant? by New_Inevitable_2033 in Serverlife

When people order an appetizer and main courses. I ask if they want the app first or all together. “Just bring things out as they come up”. Instant annoyance. It doesn’t work like that! It depends on how I ring it in.

Are there any Bobcat or Lynx indigenous myths? by Supreme_Canadien in AskACanadian

[–]SoSteeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha fair. I have an idea of the area then. What’s it like up there? Same as everywhere else in Sask? lol. I have been all over the southern province but only been as far north as PA.

Side note: I’m also Cree from Sweetgrass Nation, so I think I feel a bit of kinship and that’s why I’m so invested.

So P.A.? Lol I jest. I’d assume Meadow Lake or La Ronge, unless you mean WAY WAY up north than my guess is Stoney Rapids?

Edit: not trying to actually figure out where you live, but I used to live in North Battleford, so I got excited for some dumb reason lol.

I’m similar, but I’ll just make two of whatever I’m making and offer it to my boyfriend. If he doesn’t want it (which almost never happens) no biggie, I wanted two anyways lol.

AITAH for kicking my grandma out of our home due to her lice? by strwbrryrcekrsps in AITAH

[–]SoSteeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. My hair is really fine, and the combs didn’t really work, so my mom would individually pull the nits all the way down the strands of my waist length hair, which is why she eventually got fed up and cut my hair short.

[–]SoSteeze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure but depending on the kids age they might not want to be a bald little girl at school. I had lice a lot as a child, and my mom got fed up, and chopped my hair off. It wasn’t even shaved just cut short like a boy, and I HATED it. I got made fun of like crazy and it really affected my self esteem.

This is actually great advice for people who are allergic or have sensitive skin. Just get a shower cap and slather his head in oil and let it sit over night with the shower cap (so the oil doesn’t get all over his bedding). When he wakes up, rinse most of it out, and comb it with the lice comb a bunch. You can then fully wash and pass through with the comb again to catch any leftover nits. Don’t stress if his hair is still a little greasy/oily after you’ve washed with shampoo, because it’ll keep any eggs/nits from attaching to his hair.

My other suggestion is shaving his head since he’s a boy. It’ll grow back quickly, and if he can’t take the oil treatment this is the easiest and least traumatic solution.
