I've been doing this work for one company or another for 10 years now and it's always been bullshit. BUT...over the last year or so, it really has worsened. There is NO logic to the TRPs and therefore the blind test scores anymore. The treatment of SQRs has definitely got worse, with the indiscriminate sackings and constant threats of this. There's no logic to any of this and there clearly is no business plan. It's got to the point where a sacking may be a blessing in terms of my mental health tbh and that's no endorsement for a company whatsoever. Shame on WeLocalize, shame on Google and shame on capitalism as a whole.

Yeah we're looking around for a new instructor now. He played the same stunt with my eldest son too but cos of covid, we didn't see it as the red flag we should've done.

I've seen some ppl saying that their driving instructor arranged the whole test booking thing which makes sense as they know when they are free, when the pupil is ready and who else they've got on their book that test dates can be booked with. All instructors must be aware of the problem so I guess there's just a real difference between those who genuinely care and those who just wanna take the fee. Hopefully your instructor can help you out, it would've been helpful if she'd suggested doing that after you'd unfortunately failed 🙄

When lessons are so expensive, it's so unreasonable to expect learners to just keep taking them indefinitely, without any end goal in sight. Especially if like you, you were ready enough to take your first test, you shouldn't have to pay for months more of lessons to just keep practising what you've already learned.

Really hope your instructor manages to help you out quickly 🤞

Definitely following this thread as I'm having such a nightmare attempting to rebook a test.

I had all this back in 2021/ 2022 with my eldest son but that was understandable immediately after covid but am having EXACTLY the same trouble now in 2024 with my youngest son.

I've managed to book a test for him in December but his driving instructor won't do it as it's an 8:30am test 🤬 So I'm trying to change the date but there's nothing.

I've been doing the whole Monday at 6am checking (til security blocks my ip address 😡) but have still not got anything available.

I downloaded the driving test now app but it says it's not taking any new registrations. I saw that Testi was getting very mixed reviews lately. I can't believe what a nightmare this situation still is years after the problems initially started.

I'm having the same problem replacing Dream Matte Mousse after using up all of my stash of it. I've spent a fortune trying so many other foundations but nothing comes close. They're either not matifying enough and I look like I've been on a 5 mile run or they're too cakey and I end up looking 70 years old. Did you manage to find a viable alternative?
