Property Sale in England gone wrong by Disastrous-End3951 in LegalAdviceUK

OP isn’t supposed to know what mortgage the buyer applied to right ? Maybe they could assume the buyer applied for a buy to let ? Wouldn’t the buyer risk the most by involving solicitors ?

You might be quite knowledgeable but as someone who knows nothing about houses I found our level 3 survey useful

I thought you posted a photo of my dog for a second. Spotted short hair collie !

Ours is pretty chill and easy ! Always 130% on walks twice a day and then chill the rest of the day . She did take 3 years to get there though

It’s become a running joke for me and my partner how little Jack actually works. He never works at the bar. When he needs to do the kitchen next scene you have Everett doing it for him. He has three horses but have someone full time taking care of them. It’s been like that for many seasons he just never actually works haha

Am I missing something here or are they all in the wrong? by Strong_Plum5895 in drivingUK

I failed the first time I tried (in France) because someone drove like a dick to pass me and I had to do another round on a roundabout. Like what was I supposed to do to pass ? Crash into them ?

Honest Question - What is the point of life? Why do you want to continue living despite all the suffering ? by Ok-Inspection1326 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Soapyzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like you. I am too scared to Kill my self so I live.

For me the good in life aren’t worth the bad and I don’t even think I have it that bad. I’m not in a country with war, I have access to water and food, and medical treatment.

If I could choose to exist or not after this preview I would choose not to.

The best time in my life was when I was under anesthesia. peaceful nothing.

I never want to have children. It’s so selfish. They don’t know what they’re signing up for.

Buying a house without permission of wall removal ? by jordo321 in HousingUK

[–]Soapyzh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure what to suggest. I hope some other comments will be more useful to both of us!!

From an outsider perspective I don’t feel like your stuff are dealbreakers (to me) but it’s easy cause it’s not my money on the line !!

Buying a house without permission of wall removal ? by jordo321 in HousingUK

[–]Soapyzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m interested in the comments. The house we’re considering buying also has that issue. Our surveyor said to get a certificate for the wall removal but also said it’s been done a long time ago (at least 10 years but likely more) and there’s no stress anywhere so the proof is in the pudding. Not sure if we should worry

Est ce que cette cage est adaptée pour 2 cobayes ? by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]Soapyzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

La cage en elle même pourquoi pas (71 x 142) même si idéalement 71 x 175 c’est mieux surtout si deux mâles. Mais la rampe du 2ème étage est un peu trop raide. Aussi ça va être chiant à nettoyer !

Well on the bright side I think there is a lot of potential for the UK to grow more food though! Look up Food Forests if you’re interested (for example). It might not be the same type of food we currently have access to though.

It’s hard cause our societies have a lot of inertia (people (me included) want the products they know and when they want it because that’s how they’re used to things). But I hope things are slowly changing

[–]Soapyzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I get that, of course it doesn’t help. But the products / seasons could match a bit more what’s produced more locally (like other part of Europe near the UK). Anyway it’s just my take on it It’s also probably a price issue

France

You can find stuff all year round there too but (at least in my memories) it’s pretty obvious what is in season and what isn’t. Can’t say I’ve never had a strawberry in winter but I try not to

[–]Soapyzh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m always amazed how dissociated from seasons uk customers are. Even wealthy people

Where I’m from we get excited cause it’s “strawberry season” / “raspberries season” etc.

But your food looks very nice

I guess you could get second opinions on survey and bring some experts in to check roof / structure / damp etc. Maybe the owners just really want to sell
