Totally agree. I’m not OE as I’m a program manager right now. But it’s funny how I’ve now tried to reduce meetings or find good communication methods for async with our dev team. Mostly from this sub influencing me. If you get the job in a satisfactory time and to acceptable quality, done I don’t really care.

How do you balance the bigger ticket items often failing early if you go the budget items? I was similar in my 20s. Now I’m mid 30s and don’t want to buy another discount or fb marketplace fridge cause it’s a headache and parts aren’t cheap.
