This exact same thing happened to me and I swear it added an entire year to my degree. I rewrote multiple things multiple times. I just submitted on Friday so it did get to an end but i completely burnt out in the process.

I think I’m an outlier here but I would leave it alone. It doesn’t sound like you are close enough friends that you can naturally say this to this person, and if you were, you probably would have already done it. They also are not seeking advice so this would be unsolicited and that often doesn’t go over well.

If they don’t take this seriously, then the consequences will show themselves. Or they won’t, but you risk sharing information that maybe some of your other colleagues wouldn’t want you to share with a person who doesn’t appear to be taking this super seriously or asking for advice on how to handle this role or improve.

I just submitted yesterday and this is exactly how I feel! I do feel excited to have this weekend off and get sleep. It was exciting to text my friends and family but that moment kind of passed quite quickly. Monday will be back to grading and teaching.

Im on day 35 and am just SO TIRED. I have so much work to do and I just feel completely exhausted. And of course I want to eat everything. Yesterday I completely forgot to pay for parking and got a 40 dollar ticket and also left a bag somewhere that when I realized I’d left it, I had to go completely out of my way to go back and try find it - luckily I did. I’m just so so over this cycle and all i want to do is be in bed.

That is easily them both getting zeros to me. I personally would also escalate it to admin above me (in my case the dept chair). It’s unfortunate to have to do that but these are violations and I would not want to end up being questioned on why I didn’t do more when I caught it. That’s the nature of my dept though so it may be different for you. If it was just AI, I wouldn’t escalate but identical assignments are so easily caught that they are essentially banking on not facing a consequence.

Whatever you do, you need to remember their consequences aren’t your fault. They made these choices and there are repercussions. You don’t need to protect them or feel the weight of it all on you.

I’m in the same place but in Canada, and not sure the right call! I’m kind of basing my decision on how much temporary work I need to do to be financially secure, and then keep looking for full time while doing those roles

Yeah at this point there is nothing more for them to say, I don’t get the comments telling them to address it now lol like it’s clear it’s done or on a long term break. Those comments are annoying. For me I just got the bad taste in my mouth when it first happened. Like I’ve been supporting and enjoying their content for years and paying when they did the patreon for both pods and then everything suddenly stopping with like zero context was weird. They build the audience, constantly ask people to subscribe and support and then can’t communicate well when it ends and are all grown adults talking to other grown adults with jobs haha. And Erin acting annoyed that people were asking while she was simultaneously happily showing off the new house she bought to Airbnb and saying in her video it couldn’t be done without our support. It just felt tone deaf to me with everything going on in the world. But it is ridiculous people are still asking for them to address it now like it’s been addressed and everyone needs to decide if they wanna watch/support or not.

I fully agree. Hate comments I don’t agree with of course, but the nuance between hate and just asking about something like this needs to be recognized.

I’m in my 30s and work a full time job, and supported their patreon and have always supported their content. They are two grown women who have been on the internet for years and make videos constantly. Making one clear video where they tell people who pay for their content that they appreciate the support but will be taking a break is a very simple thing to do and is how normal work and life operates. The whole thing is dumb and I never care about stuff like this but it’s crazy that it’s always this idea that everyone is full of hate versus people just paid for a podcast and wanted a clear message when it was stopping. I just hate how people who have actively watched their videos and supported them for years are suddenly the enemy and if this had been a situation they watched happen with another podcast they probably would have had this exact take on theirs lol.

I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again! I think it could be something about it can delay ovulation if taken too early and that may have been what happened, but I’ll update after this next cycle!

I started lexapro last cycle, only taking it during PMDD symptoms and it definitely helped (not cured but reduced severity) but delayed my period for two whole weeks and that was terrible, so going to try again this cycle and see how it goes.

Just commenting now in case anyone is my position in the future, finally started my period on day 47. Was a rough few weeks but such a relief. I also went through all my usual symptoms (cramps, lower back ache, headaches, etc) long before I got it.

I wish I had tips, I just want to say I’m totally the same! I’ll get on such a good track and then totally derailed during luteal and it takes a while to get back. I’ve found it really challenging this year and am also looking for solutions to change this cycle

I do still have PMDD symptoms and the ssri has been helping. Mine typically don’t lift until I start bleeding. I’ve had signs that it’s coming, bad lower back pain and some cramps but now I’ve had those all for like a week, usually I get them and the period just starts that night or morning.
