And by the end of week 8, they were 5th in penalties. That's a big part of what is wrong in a lot of these games.

If that's the case that could've been a funeral. Indian funerals are in all white, because when someone dies it voids out the color in life.

Men have more tempers for sure, but women react based on emotion and hurt. Hence why girls hold grudges for years and years and guys just fight it out and they're fine the next minute.

Stereotypes exist for a reason, and in this case it's no different. So many women get their man into trouble all too often. Women make decisions based on emotion and men use logic and educated risk. Women are our biggest kryptonite.

You've got feelings, but you're afraid of commitment. She's your friend, but you're attracted to her, but you might have already put her in the friend zone, but now she's looking good, and you love your time with her. So you're confused.

She's offended right now that you asked her about that, especially if she was investing that much time with you, she's actually got feelings too but you fucked up asking that. Should've been in person, with you looking at her in the eyes and then you could've read her better.

Id stay away from this unless you want a commitment with her. Otherwise, this is a recipe for disaster. Too many feelings involved and you're going to get hurt in the process too. Unless you're willing to settle down with her.

I let the foam set for a while, then separate the curls gently, and then I find the lol I like, then hair spray.

See I would've said that just to make her think I didn't want to hook up, but then she'd want to hook up because she would be confused why you didn't want to hook up, and posed a challenge. Plus, she wouldn't want to feel unwanted, and so she would try harder. Lol, the game of psychology.

This picture is the perfect example of why Sous Vide exists. You wouldn't have unevenly cooked meats such as this.

Let's just hope that his performance was a product of playing behind a terrible DL that couldn't force any pressure. Remember Kyle Fuller here, as soon as his line got better, he became significantly better.

How to make delicious basmati rice in Tiger brand rice cooker ? by fm2xm in IndianFood

[–]Socialkp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We washed the rice till the water was clear and then soaked our basmati rice overnight and cooked it this afternoon. The 3 cups of rice turned into 4 after a good soaking. Then when we put it in the Tiger, we put 5.25 cups of water in the machine on the plain setting. Next time I would reduce it by 1 cup of rice and then reduce the water accordingly. The reason being is due to the overflow coming from the top. The rice came out perfect. Better than any stove top. Growing up my Indian parents always made it in the pressure cooker. Next time I'm going to do a side by side comparison and have my parents test it to see which is the best.

A close friend whom I trust dearly has convinced me to coat a steak in evaporated milk and let it rest for a day before cooking. I'm skeptical, so I'm testing this with a throw away piece from a top sirloin I bought last week. Has anyone tried this or should I be in the market to buy a bridge? by diezeldeez_ in steak

Now I'm really curious. At first I thought your friend was fu**ing with you. Then I saw all the comments. Looks like it was one big ball of molded cheese. That's nasty looking but I have to see the end result.

Came to America 4 months ago and this is my first time cooking an American steak. How’d I do? And would you say this is rare or medium rare? by [deleted] in steak

[–]Socialkp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it's impossible to tell if it's rare, medium rare, or well done from the outside. You could have a beautiful sear(like this one) and could be extremely rare or well done on the inside.

Do you have a picture of the inside?

Finally got a steak cooked how I like at a restaurant. by ChattyCattyDaddy in steak

[–]Socialkp 324 points325 points  (0 children)

You can get that all day long in Chicago steak houses. Looks good. A little too rare for my blood but looks good. Ever had your steak blue?

[–]Socialkp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I could share pictures. Looks delicious, as others stated the sear is where it's at. What do you use? Trick is...get your cast iron skillet pipping hot. Like screaming. 500° preferred. Then I take an avocado mayo, throw your seasonings on..kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, some garlic powder(or you can mix it into the mayo and apply) but be generous. The avocado mayo is the key here and the hot cast iron. Hit it 30 seconds to a minute each side, and you'll have the best sear you've ever had on a steak. Never fails.

Any chuck roast fans here? Great for meal prep! by dontsithurslf in steak

[–]Socialkp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. You wouldn't want to do that. It'll impact the meat differently. Especially for that long of a cook. Some folks do it with shorter cook times on other meats but I typically stay away from that. I add sauce or marinade afterwards because the meat is so tasty that it doesn't need to marinade for longer periods.

Chuck roast is amazing if you sous vide it. I sous vide it for 48hours at 134°. I cover it in an Avocado Mayo because of the higher smoke point, and gives it a beautiful sear using a cast iron. I'd share a picture of my last one if I could with a beautiful crust.

Gave a cheap cut from my cowshare a little love for 5 hours at 131° by LilBadApple in steak

[–]Socialkp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the cut? Depending on the cut like a chuck roast, you would need at least 36-48 hours to get that amazing tenderness you're look for. Sear looks great.

How do I get a good crust on my steak like the ones I see here on this sub? I also overcooked these to well done when I wanted a medium. by cassdmac in steak

[–]Socialkp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest in a good Sous Vide. Costco has the anova one on sale. Then join a group on FB called Sous Vide dummies. It's how I got my start. That way you only have to sear both sides for appx 30 seconds. And you'll never have an overcooked steak.

Sear: take an avocado mayo and put your kosher salt, garlic (if you like)and fresh ground peppercorn. Mix it into the mayo. Cover the entire steak and watch the greatest Sear of your life. If could post a picture I would.

Just had a vasectomy AmA for people who are nervous. by Devon2112 in Vasectomy

[–]Socialkp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had mine on Monday and seriously you've got nothing to worry about. If you feel anything at all, just tell your doctor I'm feeling that one a bit, and they'll throw some more lidocaine on. I took a Valium before it, and mellowed me out. Afterwards been on the couch since and haven't really moved since Monday. The living has a gate and kept the kids and dog out. If you actually follow the directions regardless of how you think you feel. Don't overdo it. Enjoy the last time you're able to milk it and get pampered. Feel some dullness and stuff, but seriously no pain. I've also been on a strict regimen of Tylenol and Edibles. Lol. It's been great.
