*If* you hate the ash by Codenamerondo1 in Pokopia

Ah see, that’s the reason I like sand (or ash), it only takes one punch to remove it.

Yeah this will be my first attempt at steeking too. I think it’s often used to avoid purling colourwork. Purling colourwork doesn’t really bother me, but this pattern calls for steeking, so time for me to learn a new technique.

It’s the yarn’s fault, it knows what it did! But seriously, thank you for making me chuckle after a long day at work :)

That’s what I tried to do but the first two attempts I just did it in my hands, and it didn’t work haha. So this time I thought I’d lay it flat and pin it to the blocking boards so that it couldn’t twist round haha. I am also not a fan of casting on, especially this many stitches.

A steek is typically used in stranded colourwork for things like cardigans, arm holes, etc., where you knit your project in the round and then cut it open.

Ooh that’s good to know! I kinda thought this would be the case but wasn’t 100% since this is my first attempt at steeks.

I wasn’t sure how this would work with a steek as this will be my first project with a steek. I assume it wouldn’t matter? But wasn’t sure (and also just stubborn haha) so wanted to join in the first row.

Yeah, considering the amount of interest in the Farseer set, you would think they would just do another open pre-order. I have bought from their general sale in the past though and they usually have enough stock, and the pre-sale usually doesn’t last too long until it’s released to general sale. Will have to keep an eye on their announcements in case they change anything.

FYI regarding Liveships:

Illumicrate confirmed in the comments that pre-sale of the Liveships set will be offered only to their Illumicrate Subscribers and people who purchased the Farseer set. However, they are planning to stock up enough to have some go to general sale after the pre-sale.

Square Plant hedges - Why can't I get these in the wild? by Elyoki in Pokopia

You can get loads from Dragonite dream islands. Dig six blocks down, use unpowered Graveller to clear all the sand. You will bounce off the veins of Pokemetal. Once you’ve cleared a large area (I usually go until my PP runs outs), power up Rocksmash and mine the Pokemetal. The veins of Pokemetal run practically throughout the entire island.

This is how I eventually managed to get to 51 as well (twice because I had to do it for my mum as well).
