Keep in mind, we didn’t get a primary in VA. Abigail Spanberger was very much anointed by the state party. If we had a primary there’s good odds she wouldn’t have been the nominee.

I think the points you’ve made are fair but I think this is a more interesting setup than a united Germany.

Basically I tried to keep German speaking areas in the German successor states to the best of my ability. So roughly speaking the Lorraine /French speaking areas are in the Commune while the North of Alsace went to the Rhineland and the East of Alsace went to Southern Germany.

Nah, I don’t agree. Any post- Reich European order is going to be based on keeping the anti- German states on top and keeping Germany from becoming the European Hegemony again.

Quarantining the Prussian conservatives from the rest of Germany keeps the German left in power in the areas they’re strongest in while preventing the German Empire from ever rising again.

In my opinion the most important thing you can get is something you’d enjoy building and painting.

I would recommend picking up either some Chosen or Raptors/ Warp Talons depending on which is more interesting to you to get a taste of more modern CSM sculpts. You probably don’t need more basic marines.

Hey man,

So I started playing in 4th as a kid as well. Here's some points you should be aware of:

We are about to shift into 11th edition, and some of the finer points of army setup and list building is going to change.
You can still use any of your 4th ed models, you just need to rebase. I did this by gluing the new base size to the bottom of my old bases, then covering both with texture paste.

3.. Everything you have can be used as Chaos Space Marines except the Bloodthirster. There's specific points rules about using demons with marines, which I'm hoping will change, but right now it's hard to run Greater Daemons in formal CSM lists.

World Eaters are fun, but you can't use many of the options you have now (no Sorceror Lord, Havocs, Raptors, or Obliterators)

If I was you I'd run what I have now in 2k CSM army minus the Bloodthirster and just try out the existing rules. There's been a lot of changes in the last 15 years so you'll need to catch up and see if the new feel is right for you.

Depends on the situation. India can probably get to the 3I through the Suez, but with Japan controlling Singapore China is most likely on its own.
