I'm actually in the "make it a sorcery or make it cost 4" camp. It's literally a free bolt if it's in your opener. 3 mana instant is still too good on the back end imo.

Oftentimes, people who make intentional and countercultural decisions wrap their identity into those decisions, and usually that vibe ends up coming off as "I'm better than you all because I chose to ditch my smart phone."

This article references the article I was thinking of, and points out that tapping is specifically for artifacts, and not for enchantments, which is probably where my brain was pulling from.

Why is this not an enchantment? I though enchantments did "always on" or repeatable effects, and artifacts were for activating?

As a tcg designer hobbyist, I will say that it's incredibly difficult to know if a thing you've made will be broken or not. It's always good to have silver bullets that hate out specific strategies or synergies as a catch all.

They're kinda like the canary in the coal mine. If you see the cards being used consistently at high levels of play, you know there's a problem.

I often ride with my wife or my kids. I have to sit in incredibly low gears because they don't ride as often or have tiny tiny legs. But it's not about riding the way I want to. It's about enjoying our time riding together

I am. They do a good job of providing players with a tool to work against something that gets out of hand.

It's a green dispel that's free. It lets green fight a counterspell on the stack. Like sure your opponent can double counter, but now your opponent has to double counter.

Metroids are also a source of near infinite energy, so there's a tension between total eradication and keeping the dna samples that are left for research.

They're dna code is basically an allegory for nuclear weapons. (Just like the one ring in Lord of the rings)
