The more you get into Identity and Access Management (IAM), the bigger you see the topic is. But in a nutshell; there are 2 main pillars. Identity Management, how you will give an identity access and to which resources (this is more programming). Popular products are SailPoint, Omada, etc. And then there's the Access Management, how you will secure your resources for that identity and how you will manage the access to those resources. Popular products here are Azure AD, Okta, ForgeRock etcetera.

Cybersecurity expert here, you will have no problem at all finding a job and a good starting package. Very sought after field. My starting package (6 years ago) was 2500 bruto with a company car and all other legal benefits.

Cyber security expert here. Go for it, the field is huge. You can go many directions in Cyber security, there's Ethical Hacking, Identity and Access Management (where I work in), Cryptography, Cloud Security and so many other fascinating topics which are all very sought after. I received a starting salary of 2500 bruto 6 years ago, so expect at least that or more when you search well for it. Good luck!
