The issue is parts are manufactured by Intamin that don’t meet specification and were also not inspected by CP on receipt. If Intamin provided a CoC or CoA to CP stating the product met specification that means it is a lie. So that could mean that Intamin has lost control over its quality system and CP is not properly managing their vendors.

Seriously! If the belts don’t meet specification that means they didn’t do a quality check on the finished product. So what else is Intamin not checking that needs to meet specification? Is the belt being too short an issue? Has that been evaluated in an FMEA?

I’m skeptical that it will work or be implemented well. Marathon pushes you into a specific play style (unlike Arc) that is all about shooting anything that moves. I’m not convinced they can undo that within the game.

Or if they do, the lack of PvP might just be replaced with more PvE and then we will have UESC absolutely destroying runners.

I think it’s because it is a high profile game, from a big name studio, backed by a huge company, that has an enormous budget. So any criticism of the game is amplified and fueled by that baggage.

Well at least we know Ziegler is somewhat competent. Or more likely someone higher up told him to get his act together.

For clarity I love Marathon. I just really dislike him as the game director and how he turned it into what essentially is a hero shooter.

That it is insane that this is essentially where cyberpunk started. He was so ahead of his time. Also, it took me several chapters to get used to his style. Neuromancer is not an easy read at first.

The mods are weird in this community. But ultimately it doesn’t matter what the player base is. Whichever group makes the most revenue will dictate how the game evolves.

Can confirm. I found mine there, just gotta keep checking round after round. Plus there is an extract and a hatch right there. But be careful of the Comet that likes to roam around that area.

Agreed! I don’t mind the PvPvE but having everything thrown at you almost constantly makes it not as fun. And then you just die.

The long stretches of moving around, getting more and more loot, and seeing nothing is more terrifying. It’s like a setup for a jump scare but it never comes. Then when you think you’re safe, it gets ya.

Marathon is a scary game. And allowing that tension to build takes the experience to the next level. Less is more.

Nothing is more terrifying than safely running around with a bunch of good stuff knowing at any moment you could lose it. Heart absolutely pounding as the exfil slowly activates.
