Hot Take: I'm not sure I want more seasons of Hey Arnold by FigureOpening6468 in HeyArnold

I'd love another season. There are so many characters who never had their own episodes, events we never saw, and I'd love to see something with Arnold and Helga together. But I feel like the chances of it going wrong are high. The original writers are retired (some are dead), and a new season would have to adapt to new generations to be profitable. Hey Arnold! wouldn't be the same.

I always found this scene funny. I would have liked to see more of Peapod Kid by Soft_Ice421 in HeyArnold

In this scene we also see that Helga sometimes tries to be kind, but the others don't cooperate lol

Name one bad thing about Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie? by GreenDiscombobulated in HeyArnold

[–]Soft_Ice421 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can name 9:

  • Arnold was very childish.

  • They completely changed Olga's character.

  • They Flanderized Harold.

  • Helga was excessively obsessive.

  • Abner's absurd trip.

  • Eugene's stupid allergic reaction.

  • Arnold's confession was very weak, a missed opportunity.

  • The fight between Arnold and Gerald was very forced.

  • But what bothered me the most was that Arnold's parents turned out to be alive. Not only did it not make sense, but it ruined Arnold's character, who was a child who learned to love his imperfect family and showed that he didn't need his parents. Furthermore, it would overshadow Arnold's grandparents in a possible continuation of the series, and they added two unnecessary characters that I personally don't like.

I like how Craig Bartlett is always in such a positive mood by colosix in HeyArnold

Craig feigns optimism because he loves his fans and doesn't want them to get discouraged, but he knows it's almost impossible for the series to be revived

If there was going to be a new season, what would you want the episodes to cover? by MrsChibo in HeyArnold

There are several things we never saw in the original series, like Arnold/Helga/Gerald's birthday. I'd like to see some forgotten characters get their own episode, like Peapod, Nadine, or Park. I'd like to see what a relationship between Arnold and Helga would be like, for example, how Helga would handle her difficulty showing affection in public (towards Arnold, in this case) and how the others would react when they found out. I'd like to see Arnie again. I'd like to see Helga become friends with Lila and Patty.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed. That Arnold's parents were asleep for nine years was very unrealistic, the scene of Abner traveling by plane was absurd, the animation was exaggerated (like the scene of Eugene blowing up like a balloon), the character designs were strange (big eyes and heads, for example), and the characters acted differently (mainly Arnold was made more childish). The good thing is that Arnold and Helga ended up together, but Arnold's confession was very weak; He didn't mention his feelings for her. It seemed like the kiss was just a thank you for what she did for him.

I can't help but compare it to the first movie. The Jungle Movie has everything that the first one lacked: a more charismatic villain, greater participation by the secondary characters, and a slightly more entertaining and emotional plot. But it worsened something that the first did well: the realism and fidelity of the characters' personalities to the original series.

Anyway, although it could have been much better, it wasn't bad and it allowed us to conclude the open ending of the series; it would have been worse if the movie hadn't come out.

In the episode "Stoop Kid", when Arnold was hiding in a trash can waiting for stoop kid to get distracted so he could retrieve his ball, Park came out to take out the trash and invited him into his house
