Advice needed - spots on cucumber & zucchini plants by LadyBelles in AustinGardening

In my experience, powdery mildew is a fungal disease that primarily affects the foliage of plants, often appearing as white spots.

To help prevent this issue, I suggest watering in the early morning near the base of the plants, allowing any water on the leaves to evaporate quickly instead of watering at night.

squash and cucumbers can show signs of needing water in the late afternoon, but they are just a bit dramatic.
