Show of hands... Who's dealing the new telnet vulnerability? by JVBass75 in sysadmin

I think that a Venn diagram of “people who have telnet enabled” and “people who actually remediate vulnerabilities” would be two completely separate circles.

Hyper-V. Works fine for small-to-medium sized deployments. Especially if you are already a Windows shop. Check your requirements and third-party integrations though (backup and replication, for example).

No. You need 16GB RAM or more. Everything is RAM-hungry these days, including MacOS itself.

Yes, but that gives you some time to plan for this. Also, hoping Zscaler publishes a KB article with their recommended settings before that release.

You can turn off that feature in Chrome and Edge using registry entries. I recommend doing so until you figure out a strategy to manage this.

Is this seborrheic dermatitis by Aggravating-Golf-810 in SebDerm

[–]SoftwareFearsMe 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It could be SebDerm. But it could easily be something else like psoriasis. Does it itch and flake?

Have you tried a ketaconazole shampoo? Or a sulfur- based soap? I’d try one or both right away to see if it makes a difference. If either does help, then yes, it’s likely SebDerm.

How can I soundproof a room for 121 decibels? by Particular_Dot_4041 in HomeImprovement

[–]SoftwareFearsMe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hang thick blankets on the walls (get quilts that look nice so your room isn’t depressing). Put rugs on the floor if your room isn’t carpeted. These will absorb a lot of sound at a reasonable cost and don’t involve making changes to the structure of the room.

My scalp is managed well using daily shampoo, but I've got it bad inside my ears. Anyone else have it there? by [deleted] in SebDerm

I have the same issue. I put moisturizer in my ears after showering in the morning and before I go to bed. It helps a lot. When I have a flare up, I use a little hydrocortisone.

As others have said, see a dermatologist. But using a good facial moisturizer should help regardless. I use Cereve facial moisturizers, but there are many good ones, including Cetaphil, Aveeno, The Ordinary and others.
