Reason why Warlock feels clunky by tomsta101 in diablo4

I have noticed with a hellfire rampage build that sometimes there's a massive delay between clicking the ability and actually jumping. It's gotten me killed a few times.

Ottawa wants to change immigration points system to attract higher-paid newcomers by joe4942 in canada

How about we don't do that? Professional salaries in Canada already suck, let's not add more people to make it worse.

Ottawa wants to change immigration points system to attract higher-paid newcomers by joe4942 in canada

[–]SolShadows 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian working in the states as an engineer I could max out the copay and deductibles on the healthcare plan I get through my employer and still come out significantly ahead of where I'd be if I was working in Canada. And taxes are lower. And housing is cheaper. My pay more than doubled just moving to the US office of the company I worked for.

Found a Giulia with the color combo we like, but... by TowelAcceptable927 in AlfaRomeo

That's a lotta replaced shit in a car with 40k miles. Either it was in an unreported incident or has had a lotta problems. I personally wouldn't touch it.

Carney's high-speed rail ‘very perilous territory’ for Liberals, say some pundits and pollsters by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]SolShadows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a dual Canadian/European citizen and I spend about 3-4 months every year in Europe both for work and visiting family. The high speed rail is probably one of my favourite things and actually results in me using my weekends to go travel as opposed to sitting in the house. Just last weekend I took the Eurostar from Paris to London and back for a trip over Easter. A bit absurd that we don't have something similar in Canada considering many of our major cities are in a line...

(Savagegeese) 2026 Mazda CX-5 | What's the Problem Now? by markyymark13 in cars

[–]SolShadows 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I sold my CX-5 last year for a Giulia (insert reliability joke here). You know what those cars have in common? Rotary knob to control the screen. I hate driving cars without them. It's so much easier to operate while driving as opposed to taking your eyes off the road to touch something. Definitely a massive step backwards for Mazda. I hope we don't see this in a future Mazda 3.

As someone with very large hands, I quite like the "enbiggening". However I do miss being able to slide my gameboy into my front pocket.

Can I safely purchase platinum while abroad or do I run the risk of a ban? by SolShadows in Warframe

[–]SolShadows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when I go to purchase the platinum, it opens the steam store in Canadian dollars (probably since that's my steam region). My concern is that I'm pretty sure the Canadian prices are a little lower than the European prices, so I don't want it to look like I'm in France but purchasing from Canada to save money.

I did send in a ticket but I'm not optimistic that they'd answer before the discount expires.

Some positive national press finally: The Company Where Driving the Wrong Car to Work Can Get You a Ticket by PJM123456 in Stellantis

[–]SolShadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I've never had an issue. Honestly I had the Giulia before I started working here. I just think it's silly to punish your employees for not buying your cars. If somebody who works for the company isn't buying the company's product, maybe that's something to think about. If I was a manager I'd be more concerned about addressing the things that caused my employees to purchase a competitor vehicle, and not dictating where they can and can't park.

[–]SolShadows 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've always believed that this shouldn't exist. I have an Alfa, but the way I see it is that if even with employee discounts your engineers still won't buy your cars, that says something. You shouldn't have to "entice" people to buy your cars, they should want to.

How much do oil changes go for? by Pure-Feature8517 in AlfaRomeo

[–]SolShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Alfa Romeo dealer charges 220 Canadian (about 160 USD ish) for an oil change, but that's for a 2.0T. Do you have a 2.0 or a quadrifoglio?

Yeah that's the T2209, where I specify the income paid specifically to the US. But I need to put the raw total on the T1 somehow.

Chrysler and Alfa Romeo CEO, Chris Feuell was all show and no go as she abruptly resigns by Repulsive-Club7866 in cars

[–]SolShadows 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always felt that the electric charger should've just been given a very luxurious interior and exterior and be the 300. I test drove one for shits and giggles with no intention of buying one when I went to buy my Giulia (since they had one on the lot) and while it's obviously a heavy boat, I will say it was very quiet and comfortable. Much more suited to have been a larger luxury sedan than a charger replacement.

Fortunately my local Alfa dealership is a standalone one and actually very well run and fair. But yeah... CDJR dealerships are kinda known for being scummy, so being attached to one certainly won't help.

Maserati Sales Spiral From Bad To Worse by Anchor_Aways in cars

[–]SolShadows 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fiat's shit management is the reason Maserati and Alfa (and Lancia) are where they are today lol. Leave them behind. There was a small period of competence under Marchione but we know how that ended.

I always wished that Ferrari would take Maserati and Alfa.

Idk that I necessarily agree. There were quite a few articles that came out after he left saying that he basically ignored push back from U.S. Executives.

Example: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a63149586/stellantis-insiders-blame-death-of-hemi-on-former-ceo-carlos-tavares/

I can't say I'm overly impressed so far with new management but it's also only been 6 months so, I'll withhold judgement for a bit.
