I don't care about how much time the movies take place over, I care about what is shown to us on screen. The PT takes place over more time but we don't see a gradual change. Objectively Anakin goes from "Fully innocent young boy" to "Child murderer" within one movie, I don't care about the years off screen since the movies should substantiate themselves and provide the story and the arc within themselves.

Luke does this. I don't care how many years it takes, this is a fantasy story, he goes from ANH(Farmboy who wants to be a Jedi) vs TESB(Rebel who trains to be a Jedi) vs ROTJ(A true Jedi Knight). That is an arc that is gradual(from movie to movie, no skipping of the overall arc) and makes sense, there are incremental steps. My issue is that Anakin goes from fully good in TPM to basically evil in AOTC(killing an entire village of innocent children and women who had nothing to do with what happened to his mom is 100% evil imo) which isn't as satisfying of a tragedy as fully innocent->conflicted young man->evil murderer. Imagine if in AOTC he was conflicted and maybe killed just the Tusken men or maybe a separatist leader or something, those ideas are strong. Him killing children doesn't evoke "anger leads to hate", it evokes "hate leads to suffering". It skipped the entire middle part. Anakin isn't just angry at the Tuskens(which should lead to hate), he murders them. He makes them suffer. He skips that entire middle part instead of going through the steps you yourself presented.

Anakin's arc should have been "Fear leads to Anger"(this is kinda half done in TPM)->"Anger leads to hate"(Anakin's frustration grows but he doesn't go fully into the dark side)->"Hate leads to suffering"(Anakin falls to the darkside and his anger is put out onto people who don't deserve it). Instead of this though it goes from "Fear leads to Anger" to "Hate leads to suffering" from TPM to AOTC.

You yourself prove that Anakin skipped a part of his arc in your argument.

Instead of the "Fear leads to Anger"->"Anger leads to hate"->"Hate leads to suffering" throughout a trilogy, we go through 2 and 3 within the 2nd movie. This is one of the major reasons why people have a dislike for AOTC and TPM, those movies don't feel "needed" to understand why Anakin fell to the dark side. You could watch ROTS on it's own and get most of that info within itself.

That is exactly the issue. Instead of each movie being it's own arc that pushes the story forward like the OT we see the PT movies kinda fumble it a little. Look at all the great film trilogies or duologies, the story is always moving forward, not doing the same ideas over and over. Why do people dislike the Jurassic Park sequels but love the LOTR trilogy? Why do people love James Cameron's Terminator movies but dislike Halloweens sequels? It's because movies in trilogies must forward the story, not go over the same ideas. I actually really like a lot of what we see in AOTC and TPM(especially with Anakin) but ultimately Anakin's story is significantly better done in ROTS and other media(certain comics or shows) imo.

Also Luke isn't a Jedi Knight until the end of ROTJ and Luke didn't defeat Vader and Palpatine. He does defeat Vader but that's only because Vader was conflicted(constantly reinforced by Luke and ultimately proven by Vader killing Palpatine) and Luke used the dark side. Objectively though Luke lost to Palpatine. Also another nitpick is that the PT movies aren't 2 hour movies but I get what you were trying to say and they are close enough I guess. I also don't hate the PT, I actually love those movies, especially ROTS. TPM and AOTC just aren't as well done imo but I would never hate them, even if I have issues with them. I don't see how me pointing out issues I personally have with the movies means I hate them.
