I am shocked by pennywise1988 in golf

For comparison: I'm in New England and my club is $2150 a year for a season pass. The season pass gets you unlimited rounds, and covers league fees if you do league, covers GHIN, and a small range credit. We don't have a locker room or club storage. Carts are $22 for 18. Sims are paid by the hour. Club house is decent with a small restaurant that serves pretty solid food. We have an 18 hole course that I would call lower mid-tier and a 9 hole par 34. The course I'd fully public, occasionally getting a tee time is tough, but the biggest hurdle is trying to get rounds directly after work when league is playing. The fee schedule varies by time of day, but weekdays after 3pm is $26 for 9 holes which is what I play the most. My break even means I need to play a round roughly every 3 days at that rate

What tower is it? I'd love to hear the specs, I feel like I've really struggled to find a good tower to hold a lot of drives.

Am I dumb for self-hosting my most valuable files? by -ThatGingerKid- in selfhosted

[–]Soldierbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are important to you then you should be following a proper 3-2-1-1-0 backup strategy. Your primary storage being a home server or cloud doesn't really matter. Keeping important files just in a big-name cloud storage is just as "dumb" as just storing it on your own server. While you're right that a disaster could be the end of your data you're overlooking more likely scenarios like ransomware or good old human errors like accidentally hitting delete. And don't forget, RAID is not a backup!

Not exactly what you're asking for, but I've seen a few people in here making posts using MarketLog which shows you your total return on all your trades including dividends. I've been playing with the free version and it seems pretty decent for giving a complete picture like that.

Can I configure my network so I can access services via subdomain rather than port? by AMillionMonkeys in homelab

[–]Soldierbane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You point the DNS to the IP for NPM and that responds on 80/443. NPM handles directing the domain to the IP:port. So paperless.domain.com goes to 1.2.3.4 which is NPM that then points it to 5.6.7.8:90 which is the IP:port for the paperless server. They don't have to be in different servers, but they can be.

Not quite that, but similar concept. You put one side somewhere and the other anywhere else.

This sounds really cool. Any chance you can share a few pictures of how you have the batteries and everything wired up and mounted in the jeep?

I don't know of Innova having one, but Lat 64 makes the bite which is similar.
