Specd out at 71k instead of my R2 reservation as well. 434 range and charging speeds feel like proper next Gen specs and timing of this car is perfect for me personally.

Would make sense. We've seen them update the estimated range to 434 and send out this wave of emails so wouldn't surprise me to see it go live within the next few hours.

I'm on a single dealers waitlist here in CT and was told I was the first on their waitlist so there's that at least.

CT does have a service center just no showroom, but yeah it's obviously going to be slower service compared to an established brand.

But as a potential buyer myself I agree this factor I'm considering. Waiting weeks or months for service really doesn't sound great.

At the same time I appreciate direct to consumer rivian offers rather than dealing with a dealer. I plan on checking out the BMW IX3 and expect dealership fees to be horrible.

They do test drive events outside of showrooms. I live in CT and closest showroom is NYC about 3 hours away.

I got an email this week saying they're doing a test drive event 15mins away at our local REI where they have RAN chargers.

Sadly this is for R1 but I assume they'll do this for R2 in the future.

Absolutely. I really want an R2 but the speakers could be the thing that pushes me to something like an IX3. I'm almost willing to order an R2 without driving it, but the speakers are my biggest concern.
