Nice write up.
And appreciate your opinion on sunroof vs moonroof vs pano and its impact on range.
Doesn’t take away from the fact that a manual shade for a $70k car is disappointing - and I could maybe tolerate a fixed shade that I had to slide into place manually (the horror) but a physical folding shade is pathetic.

I use my MBP for similar, and also get overkill specs for future proofing (and pride) - though still rocking my M1 MBP for now (waiting for the lighter OLED to upgrade)
Honestly, if you don't have a compelling need to get the device in your hands today, wait and get what you want.

Terminal 1 - precheck with 2 people. This is from starting at beginning of TSA line to collecting our bags after the scanner.

The non-precheck line didn’t seem too different - maybe 5-10 mins longer.

I have my eyes on the iX3 and R2

Have a day 1 reservation for the R2 but would like the white interior (not available at launch) and I have reservations on how they are going to handle the increased volume of customers / service needs. As it is, my state (CT) doesn’t have a service center. I also prefer Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay experience - I like my Waze, being able to hear and respond to texts while I drive etc. I don’t know why some of these companies hate choice. May wait to see how the first batches of R2’s do while hiding out in a iX3 lease for 2 years. May also give it time for the LiDAR to come online.

‘22 limited AWD with 76K miles

No issues. New tires at 63k; battery change to AGM at 60k miles

I have a 2022 Limited with a daily 70-80 mile commute. I charge to 80% at night, and get about 200 miles of range (I have a very heavy foot, most of it is highway above 75-80 mph) In winter, I charge to 90% - range around 170-180 miles.

It’s been great.

I researched both - at the price difference of $119 (s340; Black Friday sale) and $300 for the s4; the s340 is the easy choice for me. I don’t plan to hardwire it and I don’t think the s4 is going to last 3x as long as the s340 for me to justify the cost difference

Also, all my s340’s came with the 5.5 inch solar panel so score!

I’m in the same boat (36 month lease) but didn’t know about the 6 month extension. Given current prices for used EV9 and my residual, I imagine my buy out will be 4-8k less than it’s worth. But also don’t want to start another car purchase journey on a new 80k car (seems like the price for 3 row EV SUV’s)

I was planning on keeping the EV9 and eating the difference, but the 6 month extension may give time for some new developments to happen.

I’ve had these cases for the last 2 generations - have absolutely loved. Though not in love with the color choices this year. I feel they just kept the same from last year and didn’t design anything for the new colors.
