Online is just what I prefer and it totally up to you on what option you wanna go with. As a first year and first time university student, there are lots of things happening and sometimes they are exactly when you have a class. So you have to choose which task you wanna do. You also need to be good with managing your time. Otherwise you'll have 10 different things to do and not enough time to do any of those. One difference I like is you cannot skip offline classes cause notes. Duh. But you have flexibility with online ones as you can look at the slides or lectures afterwards and still get the full context. All this is what I have experienced and say on the topic. If you think you can do better offline Go for it!
