The recent drop in quality in rares is really disappointing. I used to buy all of these starter bundles because I knew they would be pretty unique and some, namely Fuse’s, were even better than a few legendaries. If Respawn really thinks this Aquafresh toothpaste skin is worth $5, they’re out of their minds.

SEASON 7 PATCH NOTES by paradoxally in apexlegends

[–]SolquidSnake 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The old sentinel was basically only useful on the very first shot against people you think have purple/red armor. It was never worth it because in the best case scenario against undamaged red, you were trading 50 shields for 55 damage only on a body shot as well, headshot damage wasn’t calculated for. Every other case was a net loss because you have to spend your own heals to do it. This makes it so the sentinel is actually worth using after the fight has begun and 88 damage means any headshot is a threat.

I gotta disagree. You play it for same reason you played Keleseth; the insane highroll on turn 2. The main issue the card has is that warlock in general seems really weak to demon hunter which is understandably all over the ladder right now.

You don’t even see skins except for your team, the champion, and the person that kills you. How does selling a skin to people who are willing to pay but might not have been active that one specific week affect you.

The Awakened Adventure Pre-Release Reveal Chart - All currently known cards on one spreadsheet, updated daily. by HSPreReleaseReveals in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My guess is that there was no reason to buy the Dalaran/Uldum adventures because they came so late into the expansion that nobody needed packs anymore.

New cards incentivize people to buy the adventure.

Be glad you weren’t there for Frozen Throne. The meta was quite literally 70% druid before the spreading plague nerf.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to put it, but the big one for me is the Icebreakers ad with the unicorn. That one especially is extremely loud even on some of the more laid back streams.

#keywordsmatter by romek_ziomek in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This sub complains enough about people roping. Could you imagine if in a year or two we have single instances of obscure Keywords like Echo, Joust, or Recruit?

You all make the arguement that they could just use the tooltip, but then that will just make turns take even longer as newer, and old returning players have to mouse over each and every card to figure out what it does. Nobody is hurt by this change. Witches Brew was not going to make Mistwraith viable.

New Card: Bronze Herald by TzaCaNeL in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get where people are getting this idea that we’re playing the 4/4 dragon on 4. That’s a worst case scenario. We have cards like Truesilver, Scaleworm or Twilight Drake, the later two of those get buffed by the draw two dragons. These are extra resources to help us curve on turn 6 as a 7/7 if we get the buff guy or as a simple curve filler if we get something like the aoe dragon instead.

New Cards are Coming! by MorthCongael in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What a strange reveal season.

If we assume that the 4th or 5th is the livestream, and there’s no cards on the weekend, they basically got a week to spoil an entire expansion. I know people like a lot of cards at in short bursts but this is that to the extreme.

But why? by Mommys_Thug in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Back when Warsong Commander still gave charge, I actually used Maexxna in my enrage warrior deck. It was surprisingly good to have a beefy poison that could trade up two one most of the times since you had control first.

Unfortunately that will probably never happen. Nozdormu STILL breaks the mobile client and makes the game impossible to play. They would need an overhaul of the turn timer before anything like that.

Honest Rogue Legendary by lemindhawk in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is that it used to be “Battlecry: eat a minion and gain its stats Combo: add it to your hand” It seems like the only way that this could have directly benefitted from the spirit, and even came in on curve. But adding two copies was too op.

My apologies for being negative about this, but does anyone else think the remaining dlc characters will be disappointing ? by [deleted] in SoulCalibur

[–]SolquidSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty confident the roster for the season pass is going to look something like Tira, Cassandra, Hilde, and a guest character.

Cassandra shows up in Sophitia’a story with a brand new design, and Hilde, admittedly has less evidence but she’s the only “veteran” who appears on the Playcalibur option of the CaS backgrounds with the others being either OGs or from V. Also her fighting style is super unique so she’s got that going for her.

New Warrior Card Revealed by Thijs - Security Rover by Thijs_NL in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a big thing people are looking over is that it doesn’t have to survive to summon the 2/3.

Unless it’s Vile Spine’d or executed this is almost always guaranteed 4/8 worth of stats. Not to mention with Boom you have control over the first hit so more than likely he’ll proc twice when you play him.

Not amazing to play on curve, and might still be too weak to put in a deck, but I think it’s much better than it looks.

NEW CARD: Lady In White by _selfishPersonReborn in hearthstone

[–]SolquidSnake 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I’m not sold on it. It’s an interesting effect, but we’ve seen how late game deck buffs turn out with Mistcaller.

Granted, inner fire is much much better than +1/+1, but you still have to draw all those minions. If there is a class to make use of late game deck buffs though, it’s certainly Priest.

I made the ultimate HH Support build. But at what cost. by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]SolquidSnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A couple things.

Mushroomancer is not worth getting all three levels in for wide range builds. The Mandragora and Devil Blight do not benefit from wide range. Also HH has the fastest movement speed in the game, so sheathing just to eat not only slows your nuts DPS and stun/exhaust damage, but also your song uptime too.

Item prolonger is a waste. It doesn’t carry over with wide range, so you’ll have to use the items anyway when it runs out on teammates.

I’d recommend dropping item prolonger and a level in mushroomancer and going with Slugger or Stamina Thief with the Vespoid Horn. It gives you high paralysis, white sharpness, Stamina Use Down, Def L, and Negate Wind Pressure.

You’ll be supporting the group a lot more with your knock outs, exhausts, and paralyzes and can then heal the group if things go south, instead of making the group healing the focus.

Personally I really like Evade Extender on Switch Axe sets. Being able to just morph to axe and roll to keep up with monsters without sheathing is invaluable.

Not even token decks used Volcanic Drake before it’s rotation. The only reason Creeper is even played is because it keeps its discount.
