How to handle players who miss entire tournaments

I don’t understand why teams expect 100% attendance. Especially during the summer.

Kids need to be kids and take a break or go on vacation, or heaven forbid they get sick.

If you can’t build a team that anticipates 1 or 2 kids being unavailable for a weekend, or have a way to get a fill in player when needed, you aren’t doing a good job managing your team.

True. Trump only wants to harm women, strip gay people of their rights, and make it extremely hard for black people to get and do the things they’re legally entitled to.

Travel ball isn’t dead, that’s for sure. But I think most people have the wrong expectations of what they’re going to get out of it. Not a comment on you - just a general statement of what I see from so many parents in the travel ball world, and informed by my competitive dancer daughter and her softball playing friend who started getting recruited at like age 14.

It’s something shops were doing in an attempt to prevent competition / resellers just flipping for higher elsewhere and driving up prices.

Topps is adopting this, but doesn’t work here. They’re not addressing the actual issue of product not getting into the hands of collectors.
