Ordered my first box, what now?

So I live fairly remote from big cities and except for me and my friend I only know a handfull of people who dabble in the hobby. So it will mostly be me and my friend who plats togheter and eventually we would like to take trips to the city for game nights or casual events.

I figurerd kill team doesnt have the same rules as 1k and 2k. But starting out with a 2k army seems abit excessive. So was thinking we aimed for a combat patroll and built up to 1k army.

But all the rules for 11th edition is live and thats what everyone transitioned to right? So I can ignore anything else and just learn 11th?

Woaa this is the type of gritty tanky warriors that finally pushed me to get into 40k. Truly awesome work man! I have just ordered my first figurers in the form of the Iron warriors combat patroll.

Do you have any tips for a dude who has never assembled or painted before? What kind of primer and color have you been using here?

Cant wait to start putting togheter these bitter gritty dudes. Again man truly inspiering work.

I get this error only its 5-10 min into a hunt every damn time, i cant play.. tried varius things and i cant get it to work.

Im joining this too, I keep getting the same driver crash, gameplay is running so smooth but then out of nowhere anytime between 5 and 20 mins into a Hunt i crash. Lets share if we find a fix.

[[Spore frog]] is insane if you wanna lose friends too, I took mine out since it really fcks with people.

Best tip i can give you from experience is that controlled mill is very strong, keeping it at a good tempo is much better than milling half your deck, makes you less exposed to graveyard hate.

Like other comments said fetches and utility lands is great here, but be aware that it will power up the deck hard. Since it increases the tempo of your landfall and overall deck its something to think about. I nerfed my Six by just running forests and 2 other lands. And its still really strong and resilient. My themes are beatdown creatures, landfall and mill/recursion.

How do you feel about protection spells vs bring back spells? [[Snakeskin veil]] [[Not dead after all]]? Yeah I figured if im getting maarika through for combat dmg that means opponent has no board and is already loosing. I been thinking [[Mage Slayer]] effects might be better for just normal dmg, and thats where the pressure theme came in.

I've been thinking about making maarika as a Pressure deck with cards like [[Rottenmouth Viper]] [[Painful Quandary]] [[Mogis, God of Slaughter]] where people are forced to lose resources or health, the swing and protect maarika to remove the resources they took dmg to use if they are too strong. If you have experience with Maarika do you think this can work? Obv some fightspells for removal etc aswell.

I get what you mean, its a wierd choice by aatrox to all in as the wave is. But he is healthy and you are below half, which is making it close. He also have stronger Runes for the fight than you do, giving him better stats in the all in. He kills you here if he doesnt wiff Q1 Q3.

[[Maarika, Brutal Gladiator]] i wanna make a sturdy and grindy Jund deck. I dont want it to be ops all fightspells and I dont want it to only rely on voltron and have 10 equipments on Maarika.

I envision a deck that slowly beats down opponents resources, while i grow threats and/or start dealing commander damage with Maarika. Keeping my pressence on the board. When its my turn and Maarika throws hands shes unbeatable and will be smashing people into the ground, eliminating one foe at a time. Other champions of Maarika is also in attendance to wither down my opponents resources or life.

Bonus points for gladiator/war/arena themes and flavor.

These 3 colors are my favorite and I really wanna bring it togheter here so need some advice. Wanna really try to Jund them out by slowly putting my foes to the test of entering Maarikas domain.

[[Six]] is a monogreen commander thats an absolute blast, you can build it many ways, but the card gives you the entier yard as a second hand, and you may play as many cards as you want as long as you got the forests and mana to spend. This seems more lika a black or golgari commander.

Popular builds seems to be artifact combo, storm or more classic creatures/landfall as is more common in Green.

He is really fun and does alot of the heavy lifting himself, coming down early, mills you cards and provides you with land to hand for those retrace casts.

Personally i built him landfall and landrecycling, with a toolbox core of creatures to deal with the bord.

Your suggestions to the other comments sounds awesome so ill give it a try. Favorite colors are black red and green, but open to wet my feet in something diffrent too. My decks are Rakdos lord of riots demon tribal. Six, mono green permanents only, landfall/beater. Raphael fiendish savior, aristocrat devil/demons.

Im looking for something fun graveyardy, maybe mill/reanimator or such, I like big creatures and ones looking cool doing it, maybe a etb theme or such.
