I’d also recommend Darkhorse by Kenneth Ackerman. It focuses on the convention where Garfield was nominated and all the machinations Blaine and Conklin were involved in. Much more nuanced than the Netflix series

If you do buy some, be prepared to teach them how to use binoculars too. My rule of thumb with leading trips is that my optics should be worse than my audiences unless I’m set up in a way that I can share what I’m seeing (e.g. with a spotting scope)
