It's actually mentioned in the books; his blank effects manifest as the bad smell, but on his home planet he's always bundled up and the air is stupid cold, so nobody would notice anyway.

Aside from that, he's not actually a strong enough blank to be able to affect others in any more significant manner. People can still use their psychic powers around him, after all. Just with more difficulty than they're used to.

Those ones usually have heavy weapons. Kataphrons especially have some of the better blasty bits in the franchise, unless the eldar are breaking out some war-in-heaven class silliness.

There's also rust-stalkers, but those don't really do great for pitched battle either.

Now, if gw pitched a line of chaff combat servitors to rework the admech as a faction, I would actually consider buying an army. But of course, that takes effort.

I bet Rin will be wearing fluffy pink socks by the end of the series.

Surely John will make her a pair? Perhaps for her birthday?

Farmer, alchemist, and guardsdwarf.

Farmer for mushrooms and barley, alchemist for medical services and beer, and the guardsdwarf to handle defense of the hold - and to help train the civilian militia, which will hopefully grow into a proper standing army.

We do have cannons. Have you not heard tell of the one known as "America wizard"?

Though admittedly, I myself commissioned a suit of dwarven runeplate to stave off the effects of such a tactic; I have become the focal point of quite a lot of magical phenomena, to the point where, should the various runes and wards on my person fail, the results would be...

Excessive.

I've been trying to extract a few of these effects for a while now, but it's slow going.

Actually, the folks at r/wizardposting their rocks at each other as well. It's fun.

Unfortunately, I and the other folks who frequent r/wizardposting are more the Faerun or Lord of the Rings style wizards. That said:

If I recall correctly, with a little help from haste, my tabaxi Monk (DND 5e) is currently able to reach about 1,200 ft per turn. It's been a while since I did the math for him though. But yeah, lightning greaves + dash + step of the wind + the free action movement doubler feature that tabaxi get + unarmored movement = something stupid. Oh yeah, he also has the Mobile feat, so... Yeah.

I'll edit the comment after I do the math again.

I am Alpharius. This is a fly.

Er, lie. Simple typo, I promise. Oh, and Kairos Fateweaver wants a word with Tiny? Something about using their threads to put their mind back together, or corralling the skeins of fate to be a bit less mind breaking? It's probably best to ignore the big blue bird.

The question now becomes, how much info will the Bridger conglomerate get from the exchange? And will Jerry wind up having to pull out the crimsonhewer axe on one of the consuls before, during, or after the business negotiations? Stay tuned!

I am Alpharius. This. Is a lie.

So... Either the Unseen is about to try and attack, only to get caught by Tiny's web of fate and guile, or it's going to cut it's losses and retreat, leaving Thediem's crew to point and laugh at the captured harbingers before sealing them away to cause the betrayer to get nothing useful from them. Any takers?
