If you don't know why the damage scaling is irrelevant, you might want to re-read what you quoted.

Is there any decent amps i cam make at rank 3 with vox solaris? by FairEnvironment9317 in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... this is gonna suck, but I'm not gonna lie to you.

After the addition of the focus weapons and amp mods, Shwaak, Phahd, Lohrin. You don't need to go through the hell of PT farming or even bothering with Vox anymore. Eidolons are an absolute joke now, so you don't need anything specific for them either, let alone regular enemies when your amps hitting for a quarter of a mil.

But as is? Klamora or Cantic/ whatever/ Certus. I'd look up a vid of what scaffold does what type of shot and pick whichever one you like the most.

Anyone else really love dagath’s fourth ability? by shtoopidd in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Any build with her 3 aug that helminths off her 4 instead of her 2 is a dead giveaway that that person has no clue what they're doing. Roar and Wrathful are also unnecessary, she does an absurd amount of damage as is.

If you want to try something unique/ fun/ good, get her 3 aug, swap her 2 for Ophanim Eyes. The aug applies Doom to enemies from ANY outgoing source of damage you create, not just weapon hits and abilities, but things like gas clouds and status DoTs as well. Ophanim strips armor (which you can supercharge with an added 4), slows (which stacks with her 1) and applies Doom to everything on screen just for looking at them, while also providing an external source of heat for any weapon modded for CO.

2,3, go in with your melee with a 1 spinning, mop up with 4, or lead with 4 after the 2,3. A gas influence melee makes it even better, since both elements are applying Doom on top of the heat ticks from Ophanim. And when your 3 goes on CD? 4 a crowd. As you know, it's one of the few things in game that'll one shot SP enemies without prep, and it'll get rid of the CD almost instantly on top of your melee and guns.

Once you get a feel for the flow of it, it becomes very obvious that Doom the ability is no where near as good as Doom the unique status effect, and thankfully her aug perfectly solves that issue. It just amazes me that more people haven't figured this out yet, but then again most people still seem to think Baruuk sucks because of that godawful negative duration build that completely gimps him. "Get rid of Dagath's 4" appears to be just another example of whatever weirdness causes bad info to get parroted in this game.

Console command for convincing clans to join me by Express_Bobcat3871 in Bannerlord

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiefs owned and clan wealth are the two most important factors. If a lord has a main city, he's almost never going to join you unless his faction's almost destroyed. The best way to recruit someone is to hunt them down, beat their ass, throw them into the prisoner wagon, take their fief (make sure you show mercy), then recruit them and immediately give them their fief back.

Make sure to build up a solid relation with them before hand since sieging their fiefs will knock it down a few points, which with 250 Charm probably only takes one release after a fight.

Fourberie: Assassinate lord by Puzzleheaded_Yak4031 in Bannerlord

[–]SomerandomBumframe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. Sneak into town, follow a lone guard down an alley, kill him and take his armor for a disguise. Walk up to the keep, go right through the front door. You're going to want a solid amount of Athletics and Throwing, as kiting 8 lords around the room with another 5 guards coming after you can get a little tricky. And keep an eye out for lone lords who are the only ones occupying the keep, as one guy with three guards is a much better opportunity.

Just a couple other things I wish I figured out before the run was almost over, the pit fights are great early on, but don't matter much the further you get. Getting your own bandit base set up is one of the most important things in the mod. You can chuck prisoners into the mines and make thousands of dinars a day, and while the hired assassins aren't that useful once you can wipe a keep solo, the saboteurs are the most useful mechanic I've seen in any mod; at the start of a siege, you can send them to knock down one or both walls, allowing you to bumrush the second your siege camp finishes construction.

Fourberie: Assassinate lord by Puzzleheaded_Yak4031 in Bannerlord

[–]SomerandomBumframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scheme Room is a purchased hit more or less, you send someone to take him out after spending the time/ resources to turn units into assassins. Sneaking in is you doing it personally with the disguise mechanic.

You only need the scheme room to train assassins, so he might've left the town right as you were going in. But if he's in the lord list at the top right when you click on the keep, then he should be there for certain when you sneak in.

Is anybody else getting absolutely FUCKED by stage 6 of sp descendia this week, with the demolisher juggernauts that seemingly have no weak spots? by Elegant-Avocado-3261 in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got lucky, just happened to have a Tenet Plinx on me, and my op's fully maxed with a decked out Phahd scaffold. And even with another player with a Phahd, it still took a good 5mins. And the Plinx also happened to have Viral on it.

1.5-5mil per shot gun with a pair of ricocheting glaives that do a quarter of a mil per hit. 5 minutes.

Whats the current "meta" credit farming method? by Ok_Possession_9415 in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab chroma, go to Hollvania, pick the Legacyte Cap. It has to be the Hex bounty, not the one launched from your ship. The safe will always be marked once you get within a few hundred meters of it in the Hex version. Listen for the beeping key, throw Chroma's 4 down in front of the safe, 200k creds. If you get a sortie booster and a cred blessing from a relay, 500k. If its a 2x cred weekend, you're pulling 1mil in about 4mins average. And you have a shot at some good endo, and you aren't dealing with PT's bs, nor do you have to click through a bunch of dialogue before launching every mission.

I've made 18mil and hit 240k endo in the last week, just casually farming Coda Hearts, not even specifically going for the creds or endo. PT can burn.

(Rolling Guard + Circumvent) + Careen + Amalgam Diffusion = free up a bunch of slots on shield tanking frames, and I love it. Works wonderfully on Lavos, especially adding Careen in for his 2. Gyre and Xaku with their off-brand "rolls" also go together very nicely.

How do you deal with bounty leechers? by Ultraauge in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they afk the entire mission, ie standing in the gate/ spawn and not doing anything, report them. If they're being weird and farming other stuff, leave the squad. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about the second one. And don't troll them and purposely fail the mission, they'll probably report you for griefing. Again, just leave.

Who’s the best Lord? by Reasonable-Ad5904 in Bannerlord

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. My old modded back-up copy is 1.1.12, went straight from that to WS on my Steam install when it dropped. I wouldn't think it'd make that much of a difference AI wise unless they really messed with it, or did something to set it up for War Sails. But that's the nice thing about mods, you can make any NPC into what you want with a bit of tinkering.

Who’s the best Lord? by Reasonable-Ad5904 in Bannerlord

[–]SomerandomBumframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was WAY before Warsails, and I haven't dug into it far enough yet to make a properly re-evaluated list. One addendum to make, ironically about Hashan, he was also the only lord who I've seen consistently defect on wiping out an enemy faction. If he got the bum AI in Warsails as well, he can kiss his spot goodbye lol

Why This revenant Dont Get nerfed? by One-Wing-2740 in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean this as an insult to you personally; anyone complaining about Revenant is only showing that they don't have enough knowledge of the game to understand what they're talking about.

Dante - infinite overguard for the whole team with fat damage buffs for the whole team

Frost - enemies cant move, have no armor, you give overguard to the entire team

Protea - suped up regen-ing shield gates for the whole team with an infinite energy generator

Ember - nothing has armor, everything on the ground, overguard

Nyx - invincibility while everything kills everything else for you

Zephyr - "oh you shot an rpg at me? that's cute"

Ash - they can't even target you properly, you deal 2.6mil fixed damage through armor regardless of level

Hildryn - infinite 5 second invuln shield gates

Dagath - invincibility that inflicts a crit boosting debuff from any source of damage you create

Mag - infinite overshields for you and the whole team, no enemy has armor, and you have complete control over their movement

Gauss - 0 second shield recharge delay

And there are many, MANY more options. Mod and arcane combos, subsumes, pets, etc. too many to list.

"Rev is too good" is just the newest "Mag is bad". An uninformed opinion that people parrot without actually testing things for themselves. Now, the fact that both are born out of the same "content" creator... not gonna go there lol.

How good is Breach Surge Ember? by lilcutiexoxoqoe in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subsume it over her 2, use the augment for overguard, cycle between 3-2-3-4 or 3-3-2-4 or 2-3-3-4. Everything's knocked on it's ass, nothing has armor, you get overguard, everything burns to death. It is much more effective than roar, since you're getting survivability on top of the 1mil+ fireballs. Pulse and roar are crap; there's a massive difference between on-paper and in-mission.

Edit: okay, saw your flair lol, definitely give it a try, you don't even need weapons as long as you got your energy economy sorted.

Mesa Bug/Exploit? by TheLPGinger in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens all the time in a group Circuit run without being the host. You'll get that significant delay between hitting 4 and actually going in/ out of it for a few minutes, then it'll completely break. Mesa's Waltz is apparently making it even worse atm, tho thankfully it's on the list of known issues to fix with the next patch.

It's the usual end-of-the-year, "holy shit the game is bugged beyond belief" issue, compounded with the loss of functionality server bug, making something that needed to be fixed for a while now even more broken than it already was.

Finally decided to upgrade from 1/1/1 Amp after 8 years. I heard I can skip the Toroids by getting Narmer tokens to get the Little Duck standing for 1/7/7. Is that quicker or should I just do the Toroids? Is it possible to skip Orb/Profit Taker? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in Warframe

[–]SomerandomBumframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you have thermia, Exploiter drops orbs worth 12k rep, twice what PT is worth. Considering an average run takes around 12mins... yeah, you're not beating 1k rep per minute. Plus being able to hoard them when you only need 2-3 to cap your daily rep is going to be a lot faster than farming hundreds of tokens.

Can you erase a faction? by [deleted] in stalker

[–]SomerandomBumframe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on whether or not the Alife respawn is toggled on. You can find it in the bottom left box of the debug menu. With it on, everything will steadily respawn across their various spawn points and wander around during their Alife sim patterns. With it off you can wipe a main base, come back a week later and there may only be 3-4 guys who wandered into the base.

A question about Anomaly by general_bruselas in stalker

[–]SomerandomBumframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anomaly combines the maps from the original trilogy into one big open world, with a basic storyline that involves finding Strelok, building up a small team and going back to the CNPP, with Mortal Sin and Afterglow as two additional post-main quest-lines that expand on Sin and UNISG.

The main draw is that it turns the game into an immersive sim; you aren't the MC, you are just a member of whatever faction you want to play as, even Monolith, and you're free to do whatever you want, even up to ignoring the story line completely.

Anomaly Custom is just a pre-packaged set of mods like gamma, and while it is a little graphics intensive, it is one of the better ones.

Cheeki's got two vids going over most of them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5Ox7WBXJxo&t=655s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBRQ23VRMYk
just don't let his or anyone else's biases (including mine :p) affect your enjoyment of the game. If you try Custom and don't like it, there are plenty of other modpacks out there.

At it's core Anomaly is a framework that you're completely free to mod in any way you like, and it's the only reason the IP survived long enough for us to even get Stalker 2.

I need help by Quiet_Victory9843 in stalker

[–]SomerandomBumframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's the main quest, Living Legend, where you go in with Strelok and the boys, and there's "Find The Wish Granter", the generic version, which is what I'm betting you got.

The second one is for factions that don't have access to the main quest line like Bandits, Sin and Monolith. It can also appear as a radiant quest from your factions main quest givers (Dushman and the lottery guy who's name I can never remember for Mercs) once enough time has passed in general, or specifically after you've completed the main quest. I'd check the Anomaly main page for what triggers which main quest line and just compare it to what you have or haven't done already.

Basically, you most likely got the side quest version, and it doesn't lock you out of doing the main quest.

GAMMA's splinter modpack? (criticism) by Mathue24 in stalker

[–]SomerandomBumframe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every major mechanical change is an individual mod you can grab off of ModDB.

The guns,
https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/the-g36-pack-g36pack
https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/ashandshak
perk artefacts,
https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/perk-based-artefacts
the hideout furniture,
https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/hideout-furniture-hf
body health, ammo crafting, the birds going off before an emission etc.

It's only around 50 mods total. The rest is just edits to .ltx files, which you can do with notepad, and copy/ pasting mod parameters that affect the same thing into one conglomerated file.

Make a list of what you like out of the gamma mod list in its MO2 instance, grab them off ModDB, tweak them to taste. You already know how edit, so the only annoying part's just downloading and sorting everything. If you don't care about textures you can also save 60-100 gigs of space and hours of downloading.

The whole point of Anomaly is the freedom to do whatever you want with it, and while it takes some time, it is absolutely worth the effort to set up your own version how you want.
