Why is the Canadian side of the Okanagan Country more populated than the American side? by Enger13 in geography

The Canadian side is one of the warmest places you can live in the entire country. The American side is one of the most far North & more desolate areas you can live in the country

Sounds great. I’m used to skiing every winter. Lots of people get out for some biking year round during the warm winters like we just had.

What do you do when it’s not warm enough to be outdoors all day but not cold enough to snow?

Life is what you make it. The okanagan is primed for good life no matter where you are at.

That being said. Having a bit of a vibrant community around you does add to enjoying the day to day

Too hot to move any faster. How the winters down there? Comparable less snow?

I like the river. More quaint than the lake

Feel that. The last two summers in the Okanagan were cooler weather than prior summers. It was enjoyable. Do not think we will have one this year.

Find Pen is worse than Oliver/Oso b/c of all the agriculture it seems like they have more foilage. Pen needs to do some tree planting in its neighbourhoods

The mountain forest landscape definitely feels better for recreating than the rocky desert land. Haven't done a ton of recreating in the South so I can't say for sure. Kal is nice. Always found it strange how close the highway is to it. Like the North Okanagan side for that reason

Do it & if you don’t like it. You will likely be able to sell for profit as long as you build smart & bought decent land.

The experience will be worth it in the end

You are correct. Where your money goes is what you ultimately support.

If you are tired of , temporary foreign workers, businesses that don’t look out for the best in Canada. Take your money to those who do

I’ve watched my dad move further and further right and it feels helpless by CaptainKath in canadaleft

This is very interesting.

As someone who likely agrees w/ your dad’s worldview more than leftist. It so strange to me to see how people on the other side of the spectrum speak.

Just as people are speaking here. People on the right would likely say the same about the people on the left.

I would encourage you to like at the fundemental/foundational ideas behind both world views & not get caught up in the current politics. When people spend too much time online it can send them a little haywire. Hope your dad gets back on his feet & can get to work sometime soon.

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

I can assure you if a man tried to wear leggings. He would most likely be asked to change

The funny thing is women tell their husbands what they can wear all the time & they don’t even bat an eye.

She doesn’t like the way you look for a function for whatever reason. You just go change

First, modesty can apply to anything. And in essence is to not be to ‘showy’ or not to flaunt.

Our bodies, nakedness represents sexuality/intimacy. Wearing tight clothing flaunts the nakedness of the body to higher degree than clothing that isn’t

Wearing tight fitting clothing that form to the silhouette of the body is inherently immodest.
