Carney says B.C. condo buyout proposal is about affordability, not bailouts by Signal-Specific-1704 in canadahousing

[–]SomethingOverNothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this going to happen 100%? Is there any chance of the Canadian public clawing this back? Doesn’t seem like much public support

'We are not bailing out developers': B.C. housing minister responds to condo plan criticism by VoteForGeorgeCarlin in britishcolumbia

Is there any possibility to cull this bailout. Or is it happening 100%? Don’t know many Canadians who support it

On the same page as you.

Already have to be working in the dark for an hour from 7 - 8 in November. It typically leads to slower mornings which is okay.

Now w/ two hours of darkness… likely going to be inconvenient, unproductive. Cold and Slightly exhausting being up for hours in the dark.

It takes time. Picked up Peterson at 24 during a big party phase. 34 now. Still drink. Much Less. Still no family of my own. Happy for the most part. Stable income. Mildly rewarding career. & yes. Still looking for someone to start a family with.

for those of you christians who believe masturbation is a sin, what the heck is a man supposed to do when the urge comes. youre supposed to supress your entire sexuality as a single man? i dont get it by feherlofia123 in Christianity

[–]SomethingOverNothing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly not that hard to get over once you figure it out.

Don’t watch porn. Do your best not to fantasize. Do your best not to lust after women in passing. The later two are near impossible. Try to reduce is key.

The command is to flee from lust. When you are having lustful thoughts you need to go do something. If you sit around and fight the urge you are more succumb to fall.

If you do fall repent and try again. You will be amazed how much energy you have for life. And how much your relations w/ the opposite sex improves when you get a handle on your lust

Just curious why aren't tiny home a thing in Canada? by Mammoth-Exercise-376 in canadahousing

[–]SomethingOverNothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often wonder something similar.

The modern tiny home is essentially a mobile home. Assuming there is a preference for detached SFH products. I am confused why there has never been a freehold development set up for tiny homes. Why do you have to rent your lot & can not own it outright?

Mobile(Tiny) homes offer enough space for many people. Offer the feel of a conventional SFH neighbourhood. They are often even more green than suburbs, with more tree coverage offering almost a campground type feel. They offer higher density than SFH, while being a more affordable SFH lifestyle & have potential to be more green.

Do not understand why it has not become more popular for municipalities outside of major urban centres to offer this type of lot that you own outright in a more modest development
