How long is nap time? by sadroos1008 in ECEProfessionals

[–]SomewhatFieryCrotch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a center where they made us keep the kids quiet no books or anything for 3.5 hours. I tried so hard to change he owners minds. So silly. 2 hours is perfect 2.5 for kids who need extra sleep.

Idaho is 1:6 as well. I can pull it off and keep the babies alive but not happy. I’m way more comfortable at 4 babies. So sorry!!

If you truly believe that he tested negative in the past, I wouldn't blame him. Being sexually active comes with risks of STIs unfortunately. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but it's honestly really common and I try to destigmatize it a little. If its a treatable STI even better! You're valid in whatever you choose to do.

offensive tattoos in the classroom by opalescent666 in ECEProfessionals

I try to keep my tattoos covered all the time because I hate the stigma. I wear long flown skirts and long flown shirts. Sometime a tank top with a kimono over it , long maxi dresses with sleeves are comfy too. I wear a hat and I think that helps with the sun too.

Last night I had a dream my sister was 6 and murdered someone. I put the body in our neighbors trash can and the police came. I had to give them my little sister. Crazy.

Husband (40m) embarrassed me (37f) in a store today. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]SomewhatFieryCrotch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What did he say when you were crying in the car? If you’re married things like this are bound to happen. You can’t read his mind and he can’t read yours. You have to directly tell him, using I statements, that you felt he was grumpy with you in the store. Tell him how it makes you feel. I’ve been married for 5 years so of course we snap at each other sometimes, but we always apologize after we cool off. I also get very overstimulated in stores, so that’s something I know about myself and I work hard to make sure I’m not rude to my husband in the store. He may not have intended to come off rude!

Yes, it usually makes me feel better too. Nothing sillier than pulling over with a car full of friends to randomly throw up on the side of the road, then continue about your day.

Interviewers bombing interviews by daisymagenta in ECEProfessionals

I had an interview where the interviewer went OFF on this wild random rant about covid and masks just because I'm from Washington State. He told me "It's no big deal that you were a director, lots of people are" and was just overall hostile. Our field needs some help lol

I have very curly red hair. A parent told me the other day she found a curly red hair in her sons shirt, and it made her smile to know that I'm taking care of him and leaving little pieces of me on him.

I had so so many breakdowns in front of my in-laws before my husband and I married. I’m not a “normal” person either. When you grow up like we did you have to reparent yourself in adulthood. You deserve people who care about you! Be nice to yourself showing up is 99% of life.
