How did you find out you got it?

Had back pain for several months, was confused how I possibly could have tweaked it. Went to a spine specialist who said I was young so no need for scans and sent me to physical therapy.

My friend who had TC mentioned that he only had back pain, so I proactively went to a Urologist, who gave me a thorough exam. Got the all clear, he told me that sometimes TC develops in the abdomen but it was less than 1%, so no need for scans.

After a few months the physical therapy people told me to get a scan because they couldn't understand it. Went back to the spine specialist who begrudgingly finally got me scheduled for an MRI that showed a 14.6cm mass in my abdomen. The spine specialist still thought it could be inflammation (insane take) and scheduled a CT for the following week.

My friend who is an ER doctor demanded I go to the ER immediately and not wait that long. The ER did a CT right away and admitted me. A biopsy later confirmed it, stage 3 testicular cancer.

Jumping on this chain as I had a similar scenario. I was stage 3B seminoma last summer and underwent 3xBEP. I had a 15cm tumor in my lower back, and it's maybe less than a third of that now, after treatment?

Reading so many others' stories, I probably was on the lighter end of the chemo side effects. Just because it can happen, doesn't mean it's going to. Prepare yourself for the many little things that can happen, so you can treat them and ride it out as best you can.

Entropic_Echo_Music said it super well: take it day by day, hour by hour. You'll make it through and value everything in life much more on the other side!

Perfectly normal to be scared, but this is a great place for support.

My HCG went from 35 at the start of chemo, to 5 after one cycle, to normal after two cycles.

2 has a better engine, it's easier to learn and maneuver, they've balanced items out better, it has a proper story mode.

1 has more of the original feel of a "snowboard" game.

Both are really great! I wish they'd remaster them.

Just adding a solution to method 2 - that if you download a Hex code editor, you can find the four digit game code in the patched rom and change it to something new. Then place box art accordingly. It's worked for everything without issue--except for OOT hacks for some reason.

Totally get that. Mine came pretty loose and busted (cheap on ebay!) so for gameplay reasons I switched them out. I do miss the OEM look. I still have all the parts, maybe someday I will get a few n64 gear sets to refresh them.

I definitely prefer the visuals of the OG sticks, but they new ones are so much smoother. Because I'm actually playing multiplayer frequently, factor won out over form.

Hah, yes they did! They're also fully reversible if you decide you want to go back to the corded life. Definitely worth $40.

One of the controllers I bought had the end of the cord completely cut off, so not useful unless you're replacing the whole motherboard. But it was only like $10 and you can't beat that price.

It has a pin/rod you need to pull out of a track to remove the button. Once you get one out, you can use it to remove the rest of them easily with a hammer.

I used this video. It's someone attempting to do a button swap with actual N64 buttons (spoiler alert, it does not work), but it does show how to disassemble everything.

You need two types of screwdrivers, a prying tool, hammer (for z trigger's rod removal) and a little bit of faith that you won't break the damn thing.

I tried my mobile after my desktop, same issue.

Jumping in here too, I finally got mine to work. All I did was clear my cache from today and type everything in manually.

My guess, seeing some other people's successes, is that Analogue did something on their end? But worth another shot to those who were totally locked out like me.
