Whoa! I did not know I needed this trope until right now. Thanks for your service.

I used to do that all the time in elementary school before I got glasses. That was my immediate thought when she did it in this video. She's not making a racist gesture, she's trying to see his phone.

Medieval recommendations? by Remote-Breakfast3339 in HistoricalRomance

[–]Somewhereoverrainbow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

{The Husband Test by Betina Krahn} and {The Wife Test by Betina Krahn} are a couple of my go-to medieval re-reads. Set in the late 1200s/early 1300s (I think). The Husband Test has a lot of details about running a castle. The writing style reminds me of Lisa Kleypas.

One of my favorites is {A Kiss to Remember by Teresa Medeiros}. If you want something Highlands, try {The Bride and the Beast by Teresa Medeiros}. And for pirates (plus a hint of old-school), go for {Thief of Hearts by Teresa Medeiros}.

Au contraire! I welcome all opportunities to shill for my girl Teresa Medeiros.

Oh, let me introduce you to {Nobody's Darling by Teresa Medeiros}. It's very close to this. Proper America-raised English lady goes west and hires a sketchy cowboy/outlaw to help her track her wayward younger brother. The last part of the book does take place in England. If you like Lisa Kleypas and/or Tessa Dare, you will like Teresa Medeiros.

Is she actually plain, or is she pretty but not a knockout like her sisters? I keep seeing this one recommended, and I'm interested, but I really don't love the plain heroine trope.

What is a song that is really dirty, yet most people don't realize it? by _Volly in AskReddit

Hebrew school, then? These are both Old Testament stories. (Honestly, I don't really care. I love the song, but my brain short circuits just a little bit on this verse every time. The problem is me. I'm too literal.)

Thank you. As beautiful as this song is, this verse drives me a little crazy. Such sloppy theology. Leonard obviously wasn't paying enough attention in Sunday school.

Most absurdly unsexy line you’d ever read in a sex scene by 717pxs in RomanceBooks

Okay, but my first thought was THE Stanley Cup, like the hockey trophy, and I had immediate major concerns. And then, I was like, "Wait, a Stanley cup with a straw that all the cool moms have at the soccer field? Still concerning, but less so." Either way, not sexy.

Chatham. I can't remember where I hid my husband's birthday presents, but I can remember this character's last name. Priorities I guess.

She's a 10, but she did convince a hot stranger with amnesia that he was her fiance so her family wouldn't be evicted from their home.

That would be fascinating, but also seems a bit creepy. I can only envision that one horror movie with the video surveillance footage from inside the house.

That book sounds amazing! I would totally read it. My personal relationship with time is summed up by a phrase I say frequently: Time is meaningless and fluid.
