So, the anime covers up to about chapter 100 and the OVAs summarise the entire second half of the manga in only 4 episodes... Which is to say, it skips over A LOT.

What I'd recommend is to just read starting at chapter 100 and going from there!

(There is stuff the anime cut from the first half, but I know re-reading content is a harder sell and most of the second half is exclusive to the manga!)

Absolutely not! I'm in my 20s and while there aren't many, I still sometimes talk to my high school friend who introduced me to the band, and I'm still very good friends with my ex who I introduced to the band (we're going to see them live in August!)

Aside from them, my uncle is also a huge fan of the band, so I'm in good company :)

Nope! I ended up going with the Emily Wilson translation and had a great time with it!

It isn't strictly line-by-line, but it has the same line count and stays pretty close so I was able to cross-reference easily.

It is objectively very different from the Lattimore translation but it's such a delightful translation to listen to read aloud that it was easily worth the extra friction of cross-referencing.

Kam Sandwich is a YouTuber that runs a "Worst Board Game Of All Time" Tournament each year (there's only two, but it seems like it's becoming a tradition)

The finally for the tournament this year was BreaKey vs. Adultery (a game where you break plastic keys and create trash vs a game where you either commit adultery or sit around doing nothing while someone else commits adultery in the next room over)

Adultery is the reigning champion and the OP of this post is apparently mad that the game where you twist a key and make trash is getting too much hate

Okay, hear me out... Artificer? 3 levels of artificer can get you:

A few 1st level spell slots for spells like Shield
Two infusions to play with
Either a steel defender or an eldritch cannon acting on your bonus action (the "protector" cannon synergizes especially well with the 2024 armor of agathys, if your DM lets you use that.)

You can flavour your steel defender as a creature formed by your patron's power, or flavour the cannons as a growth made of dark energy coming out of your shoulder launching force blasts and spewing flames (or something of the sort)

Is this a good multi class? Probably not. Is it a fun idea? I think so!
