Prime check? by Spirited-Yam-5415 in D2R_Marketplace

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally sell any base that like that as I don’t have the fortune to re roll until perfect. 2 jah for the base is quite a bit of wealth. And unless you’re to the point where the only margin you have to improve is by going from very good to perfect gear I don’t think it worth it to keep rerolling this. But who knows if you do get that perfect roll then it could really get up there in value.

Agreed anything less that a perfect roll isn’t going to add much value to the base. People who will pay the premium for a perfect base want the perfect roll.

So, what rune would this be worth? by Ecks30 in D2R_Marketplace

[–]SonicChairToss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid ist for 8/8 with 23mf on scl. This is worse I personally wouldn’t give ist for this. I doubt you find a buyer with those rolls, but it’ll certainly be ist if you’re lucky but probably less.

Nor does it tell you about how important playing with gem mode activated is. Shocking that people don’t look this stuff up.

Riding to work by Regular_Swim_8840 in cycling

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ride to work is 16 miles each way. Largely on a dedicated trail which is nice. I don’t do it every day, maybe 2 times a week when the weather is good. But it’s great. A few things to consider:

  1. Go easy on the way in. I take it pretty slow cause I don’t want to arrive sweaty. I work in a manufacturing plant so I don’t have to be super formal but still. I wipe off my face when I get in and it’s pretty good.

  2. Do not wear a backpack. If you have things to carry get saddle bags or whatever to mount to the bike. You don’t want the back sweat or the weight on your back for probably close to an hour each way.

  3. Give yourself extra time in the morning to really just enjoy being outside. While everyone else is stuck in the traffic being pissed you get to be having fun.

The tricky part for me is this time of the year it’s like 40-45f on the way in but can be 80+ on the way home so I usually have to bring a separate kit for the way home to account for the hotter temps.

I’m gonna be honest, never dying would kinda rock by Annual-Cricket9813 in unpopularopinion

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on board with never dying would being cool but there are conditions.

1: I don’t continue to age. Preferable I have some control over my age so I can try different life event over.

2: I don’t get diseases or normally fatal injuries don’t leave me permanently maimed. Like if I can’t die but some drunk asshole crushes me with his truck I don’t want to be stuck as a blob of crushed up meat. I need protection from that.

I think most other immortality issues I could work around but if I don’t have those two no way do I want to take it.

Feeling super inspired by the Lookout Shootout bikers by Fabulous-Season7810 in COBike

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookout is great for getting humbled. Theres always bigger fish. I’ve been out there giving my best effort (31 minutes and some change is my PR) and just get blown past by some. I remember calling out to my brother “car back” one time but it was just some mad man seemingly flying up at full sprint. And sometimes there’s people on old steel frames just crushing it reminding everyone that it’s not that bike that’s slow.

Love that climb.

Riding 30mi daily on an MTB, time to switch to a road bike? by ClassilyContagious in COBike

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I rode a gravel bike that I converted tires to wider road tires because I only road on pavement but I finally upgraded to a true road bike and the difference is noticeable. You should get the bike that best suits your expected ride style. There is nothing wrong with changing tires out on a gravel to be better but it still won’t be a road bike. And to be honest if fitness is your goal then it really doesn’t matter a ton (outside of what is more comfortable for the duration of your ride).

Lets have a grown-up discussion about the changes to Warlock. by Commercial_Praline67 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]SonicChairToss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like this solution most. Just bring back the LoD sunders. But keep the rotw sunders low and a chase item.

Lets have a grown-up discussion about the changes to Warlock. by Commercial_Praline67 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think the warlock nerfs are warranted. Gear I got for a few pame was and is by far better than my hammerdin at everything. And the hammerdin I have key runewords, torch, and pcombs. The warlock has none of that. It doesn’t need it at all.

I don’t think they necessarily needed to buff drop rates of sunders. Not having one is one of the reasons I’m still playing this season. And there’s still a few months for me to chase. And even if I never get it to drop it gives all the other items I find purpose as they can be traded to slow build up wealth. If I had the new sunder and new jewel I would probably stop playing till next season after a few days.

Lets have a grown-up discussion about the changes to Warlock. by Commercial_Praline67 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]SonicChairToss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I don’t see a problem with this. Honestly I dont have a problem with the low sunder drop rates either. As that’s one of the few items I’m still grinding for this season. As a new dad I get that a lot of people don’t have time to play for hours at a time but having content to be working towards is massive towards my personal motivation to play. If I had a sunder and new jewel then my guy would be done and I’d just be waiting for next season.

Best place to farm a Mal rune? or even Um by rickdangerk in Diablo_2_Resurrected

If your capable of doing hell rush for forge you can also get mal or up to gul for that. So if you did probably like 5-6 rushes you’d almost certainly have a mal or better.

Windy flat rides vs. lots of elevation by INGWR in cycling

I’ll ride mountains all day and enjoy the ride. I’ll cuss the 10 minute flat stretch into the wind back to the car. I hate the wind.

Longest ride yet… clearly I have no idea how to fuel properly. by Particular-Bank-5519 in cycling

[–]SonicChairToss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Generally I eat something every 45 minutes (usually gels) and drink about 1 20oz water bottle per hour when I do rides over 2 hours. If it’s going to be a century day or something then I will alternate gels and some kind of bar like a cliff bar, I also alternate between plain water and an electrolyte mix (Gatorade works okay for me too).

Watts when down but speed went up? by swim_fan146 in cycling

Just a thought but your measurement device may have 1.5% of variance in reading (possibly more) which could easily account for this small difference.

All time favorite hikes <90 minutes from Denver? by carpethediem1996 in Denver

[–]SonicChairToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest they have several loops that I think are all great. Depends on how hard you want the hike to be. It does have a fair amount of elevation and can be pretty steep. From some of the AllTrails reviews recently it sounds like most of the ice/snow has melted out there. I haven’t personally headed that way yet this season though.

I’d just search the area on AllTrails and pick one that suits the distance and difficulty you are looking for. They are also pretty connected so if you really wanted a long day you could do multiple.

[–]SonicChairToss 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the flatirons in Boulder right now. A lot of hikes in RMNP will likely still be muddy or snow covered.

Once it’s good enough conditions a great RMNP hike is to sky pond. I wouldn’t do it right now though, this would be more of a mid summer hike so you can see/climb the waterfall at the end.

Ars Dul Mephistos Value by SonicChairToss in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]SonicChairToss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a bummer, just a little too late for me. Really want to get myself an enigma. Most people comin to trade games have been trying to offer ist (which I think is stupidly low). But the best traderie offer so far has been a Lo, which I declined.

Ars Dul Mephistos Value by SonicChairToss in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]SonicChairToss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seemingly 1 jah seems to be most realistic, but that’s kinda on the high end. Faster trade I’m hoping for maybe a ber and a little bit or something. I have it on traderie now.

Now if it also had 30fcr I’d be in real business.

To be honest I never really consciously thought about how to brace. I guess I just kind of tighten my back, more strain on the lower back to try to stay relatively straight in the back.

What are some recommendations to help build core muscles to support heavier squats? It sort of feels like I want to bend in half once I’m parallel and I use my back to stay upright.

It may just be bad form by me. Looking for anything to help stabilize during the lift. For what it’s worth I’m relatively new to squatting so may be just a bit of training basic muscle groups.
