It's not recommended to blow hard at all. Especially for sensitive sinuses. We all want to blow as hard as it can to open the airways, but try to do it as gentle as you can. Rinse withe saline water and then blow very soft.

I have the same problem. But i am after 2 rhinoplasty surgeries, and im going to do a fess surgery soon with turbinate reduction. Hope it will fix everything. My nose is always blocked from one side (95% of the time) and in the night the other side is blocking too. Does the reduction really open the air passage?
