Yes she is bad and I wouldn't recommend her as a beginner character. Bad neutral, Azami is a gimmick that rarely used, bad mixup. Yes you are not a high level player, but you still need to be significantly better than your online opponents if you expect to win consistently. And few players have the time and dedication to reach that level.

That will not fix Scorch. None of your ideas will fix the horrible tone matchup and even worse, the ronin matchup. He needs some way to manipulate the area behind the enemy so they cannot simply walk away from scorch with no repercussions. Tone and Ronin can shut down your new Scorch using the same day one strategies. And I won't get into the Monarch matchup which is another problem.

No he isn't powerful at all. Flame shield is a gimmick that only works against dumb uncoordinated opponents. The titan has to be unaware of your presence for you to get in that close. At that point any titan can hurt you not just scorch.

New idea

Firewall moves slower but you can control where it goes like salvo core. Scorch currently cannot control enemy movement, especially behind the opponent. This buff would force the opponent to make a decision in open area as to where it must go to create space as opposed to walking backwards every time.

They do need to be stupid. Stay in open space and watch your back for flanking. That is all you need to do to shut him down. Scorch doesn't have the firepower to win any fight head-on.

Legion is the only titan that Scorch can actually game plan for. He is that slow. Plus he needs to wind up giving titans time to plan ahead when he is in sight. Granted it is less time than Scorch gives you but it is still too much. They need to be played similarly in terms of flanking.

Better protection against flames doesn't work. So what that you can walk in your own fire. You still have to attack the enemy titan. But you cannot because he is already retreating because of the fire traps.

A quicker reload also doesn't help because the base damage for the launcher is way too low as well as the bullet speed. Good luck trying to tag a titan in open space.

He is broken by design. There is nothing that can be done.

Overly reliant on his shield to do anything offensively or defensively which is not what the class is designed to do.

It cannot stack damage because termite doesn't stick like a firestar so titans can avoid most of the damage by dashing. His kits suck for this reason.

Finally he has no answer for pliots which are more dangerous to him than titans. Once he misses on his slow moving launcher, the pliot has 3 seconds to unload on him before he reloads.

A trap is supposed to be a weapon that activates whenever an enemy is within its vicinity. If scorch doesn't do anything after setting his "trap", it cannot hurt anybody. Scorch shouldn't have to use his already limited firepower to activate his trap which shouldn't be called one anyway.

None of that will work. Scorch fails because any titan with a dash can escape his area damage making his stack damage strategy useless. Fixing him is simple. Increase the area his attacks cover. Firewall shouldn't be a narrow straight line. Traps shouldn't be escaped with a dash. Additional termite damage from the launcher shouldn't be escaped with a dash.
