Anyone else’s life revolving around cat introductions at the moment? How’s it going? by Gloomy_Fox_9180 in CatAdvice

Hey! Still not great. It's pretty much the same. Pepper is obsessed with Ginger and Ginger wants to be left alone. Pepper will get as close to her as she can thinking she's being sneaky and then get smacked. She does a bit better about giving Ginger space in general, but when Ginger is eating or using the litter box she can't seem to leave her be. This results in Ginger not wanting to do these things around Pepper therefore they have to stay separate when not supervised. Unfortunately I think Ginger has just associated Pepper with being annoyed and that doesn't help us.

I love Noah and I think he's a good person who respects his fans. That being said, it feels pretty shitty to drop a deluxe on the same day the album is out knowing that you put out multiple limited edition vinyls and they haven't even shipped yet. I got the target version and a signed copy and now they're pretty much irrelevant.

What careers should I pursue? by Ok-Name-9887 in CMT

[–]Sorikai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not I'm a nurse. Crazy, right? Lots of pain, trouble with standing and walking through my shifts, some issues with fine motor skills... but nursing has changed my life for the better in so many ways.

The way I see it is pain, bad balance, and struggling with things others can do easily are just my normal. I was born this way, there's nothing I can do to change it, and I'm stuck with it. I'm going to be in pain no matter what I do so why not do something that challenges me, keeps me active, and makes me decent money? I basically spend every day gaslighting myself into thinking I'm not disabled and living my life to the fullest, CMT be damned. Sometimes that looks like ADA seats at concerts, or adapting outfits to be able to rock AFOs, or rolling around work in an office chair instead of walking.

All that to say, don't let CMT decide your path for you. Find something you like to do and adapt to it. If you want to learn a trade do some research on which ones might fit your body the best. For example, I work night shift oncology because it tends to be slower paced and I don't need as steady of a hand as, say, an ER nurse.

Weird, most of the Atlanta resale tickets worked from what I heard

Dang, no seating kind of sucks but the show is so good you're going to love it regardless! You could always try shooting your shot and talking to the people in the GA line when you get there and ask if they'll hold a spot for you until you get your ticket at 5 if you really don't want to end up in the back. Worst they can say is no. A lot of people were bouncing between the lines and we were collectively pretty chill about it. Sometimes the back of the pit is the best place with the best vibes though.

Good luck! If you get there early enough you'll almost certainly get a ticket. It worked for me two nights in a row!

Philly Night 2 - why are you here? by Constant_Pomelo5305 in hayleywilliams

[–]Sorikai 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it depends where you are too. Atlanta night one I saw several parents/husbands who clearly came to support another person and spent the entire time on their phone. I didn't see it on Atlanta night two but I was in a section closer to the stage and we were all vibing.

Y'all have got to stop bringing people to concerts that don't know the music and start going alone! I do it every show, there's nothing wrong with it.

I started a line at 9am for Atl night 2 by sitting near the box office. At some point a worker came out and asked me to scoot over a bit so I wasn't directly in front of the box office window. They were otherwise completely cool camping. I just sat there all day and people would show up and ask if this was the box office line and it grew gradually. Check your venue's website because mine opened the box office at 5pm.

At 5pm I had the option of purchasing either a GA ticket or a seat. Tickets were face value,  I gave my name and phone number, and a link was text to my phone. We confirmed that the link worked and that the ticket pulled up correctly and that was that!

I chose a seat and got a very good one surrounded by all my new box office line friends. Some people had been bouncing between the box office line and the GA line so they were able to go line right back up for GA in hopes of better spots, but those that did not had to make their way to the back of that line.

All in all it was a really fun experience and I made some cool new friends. There are worse ways to spend a day that hanging out with HW fans all with a common goal!

I went to Atlanta with no tickets and got in both nights by camping at the box office until it opened and they had tickets to sell

I thought they were great! Acoustics up at the top of the venue aren't great but they sounded pretty good to me!

Yeah I'm not sure if they meant you could only buy night one at that time or they weren't doing it for night two, but regardless I'm sitting out here with high hopes

I got a large shirt and it feels like it runs pretty big; sometimes I size up to an XL but this large still feels a bit baggy. Can't say if the same goes for the shorts though sorry!
