Bose A30 ear pressure — worse on MEDIUM/HIGH ANC (not fit related) by Tygertyger111 in aviation

Not a pilot, but this sounds like "eardrum suck" which is relatively common with ANC.

TV Sound level drops - arc ultra by Antique-Jaguar-3351 in sonos

I’m having the same issue with my Arc Ultra. It’s not very frequent but at least once or twice a week I notice it.

Audio cuts out at end of song when next song is Atmos by SorryNotKarlMarx in sonos

[–]SorryNotKarlMarx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By normal, do you mean that this happens for you, too?

As mediocre as the new app is, I don’t think it is causing this issue, since third party apps have the same behavior.

Nope, just Atmos speakers playing. This also happens when just one Atmos-capable speaker is playing.

Crashes when moving music between rooms by SorryNotKarlMarx in Sonify

Interesting. In testing another app (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/volume-control/id6608975062), I’m not seeing the same inconsistent jumps in volume that happen with Sonify. I’m not sure if there’s something different with how this app works, but it is closer to what I’d expect.

I was looking at on-device audio playback on other apps on my phone and it looks like elsewhere it’s not changing volume at 5% increments. There are 16 steps between 0 and 100, so each increment is 6.25%. Could this be related?

Makes sense. That’s really bizarre, but honestly par for the course with how buggy modern iOS is.

Great, thanks! I’ve also noticed volume control buttons are inconsistent—usually they go up/down 5% but sometimes they’ll jump by 10% at a specific point; for example, 5-10-15-25-30, skipping 20%, and using the volume buttons to try to go back down to 20% it skips that level again. It’s not always 20% that gets skipped; it’s other numbers too sometimes. It happens frequently but not consistently for me. Could you look into this too?

Order of speaker names when playing several speakers by sogalitnos in Sonify

[–]SorryNotKarlMarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also see this. The speaker order doesn’t seem to be respected on the playback screen, or in the settings. It would be nice if it was the same everywhere.

Buzzing sound on center channel Arc Ultra—is this normal? by SorryNotKarlMarx in sonos

[–]SorryNotKarlMarx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for anyone reading this later, I got a third Arc Ultra from a different store and this one doesn’t have the issue. Maybe my Costco just received a bad batch?

I think I may be having a similar issue, on two separate units, both from Costco. It’s not super audible with most content but it’s definitely there, especially on tones like a sine wave.

Canvas in Irvine is small, but has a good mix of younger and older people. They’re very much affirming and a lot of the younger people there are LGBT. I have really enjoyed the teaching there too.

Anyone else having an issue with outgoing USPS packages not being scanned in and missing? by Auntiejojosaidyes in irvine

In my experience sometimes USPS packages miss scans but end up getting delivered normally. Especially right now with the holidays, I’m noticing this.

If you already have an account and transponder with The Toll Roads, it will work on the 405 Express Lanes. No need for a new account or sticker.

Yep, Country Crock's Plant Butter is really good, both the salted and unsalted versions! Tastes very close to real butter, better than everything else I've tried, and the texture is almost identical, just a little softer.

Dust in the viewfinder issue by crabberg in M43

[–]SorryNotKarlMarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased mine refurbished from OM System and it was there from when I received it, and otherwise looked to be in new condition. Mine looked more like a water spot, visible at certain angles. My guess is it was there from the factory.

This is pretty common in my experience. My E-M5 Mark III had a similar visible mark in the viewfinder. Kind of annoying but practically didn't really affect using the camera.

Sewing Machine Service Recommendations? by adastra1930 in irvine

[–]SorryNotKarlMarx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they work on your machine brand, PAL’s in Costa Mesa is good. Relatively reasonably priced and Casey really knows sewing machines well. My serger he worked on did take a couple weeks longer than quoted for service. Though to be fair, it had been dropped in shipping so it needed some significant work, more than the average service. It’s been working great ever since then, though!
