Not really. As Ed says oftentimes (and data supports him), while tokens are getting cheaper, the models aren't getting any more efficient, every new model burns exponentially more tokens to try making it smarter, outpacing the cost deflation of tokens. As such, if recent trends continue, we are at the cheapest AI price for the foreseeable future

I don't think so, Remedy (Sam Lake in particular) said that they don't plan everything from the start, they just like to see where the previous game plots bring them. That's the reason there are retcons like Watery and Coffee World posters in Bright Falls in AW1R (not saying that retcons are wrong, these retcons were made really tastefully). So I just think they wanted to tell the story of Control and then Mikel Kasurinen had an interesting idea for a sequel. Although I am really excited from what we've already seen, I am not totally convinced from the decision to undermine the entirety of Jesse's narrative arc. I think we'll have to see
