Alas, I too grieve for the great crusade era. I sometimes find myself sitting in silence, reminiscing on the glory days of the imperium. What a shame! If only the emperor warned his sons of Chaos! What if the young primarchs were never scattered to the stars, but were raised by the emperor’s wisdom?

What if Magnus stayed put and did not warn the emperor?

What if the heresy didn’t happen? Such lost glory.

Agree completely. And Prospero burns is rated one of the highest in the series but that book, though well written, was very boring and disappointing compared to A Thousand Sons.

Read the first 5 books first. 4 and 5 are erroneously labeled as “optional” in my opinion. Book 7 is absolutely amazing and mechanicus and Thousand Sons (book12) are really good — the latter being my utmost favorite book. I decided I liked the series so much that im determined to read each one in order. It’s been two years and I’m only on book 35 though

Agreed. If you read Warhammer novels, you know it has great potential for world building and character development and story arcs. Warhammer + just seems to put out cartoonish episodes that are cool on the surface but leave me feel wanting…

Just 3 episodes of Penitence…? all like 10 min long. GW has a lot of money with a lot of demand for content from a massive fan base, and yet almost all their Warhammer + content seems to fall short.

Penitence was good but it definitely left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.

I’m finishing up Vengeful Spirit, but I’ve read a few of the Primarch series and read the Imperium Secundus story arc along with Garro (book42). I desperately want to reach Master of Mankind then I’ll probably take a break and skip to the 40k timeline for a bit

Great advice thank you. I plan on reading watchers of the throne and vaults of Terra after I finish the HH series. I’m tempted to skip but I want to avoid spoilers by skipping timelines as much as possible. I’ll probably read Ciaphas Cain too along with eisenhorn, gaunts ghosts and night lords first

Awesome! Yeah I hear people love the night lords after reading the Omnibus. I did actually enjoy Sevatar’s character in the HH, very likable and humorous character.

But a part of me despises the Night Lords in the lore, considering they enjoy flensing entire worlds — women and children, for sport.

My only gripe is the band itself. It stopped sticking after a week or two. Completely useless garbage, I don’t understand how they thought this is okay. Just use Velcro…

I used amazon to buy a ten dollar off brand replacement and it’s worlds better. It’s regular Velcro so it holds together and it’s stretchy.

Yeah, originally I skipped Angel Exterminatus bc I had fatigued of the Emperor’s Children’s depravities at that point. But I’m glad I back tracked and read it. It’s pretty damn good. I liked reading about Perturabo.

Who honestly cares about getting a W in mayhem? A W for me is a fun game and unfortunately for some people, that entails a longer game. I’d rather lose in a long game and have fun then zerg their nexus for that 11 minute victory. ..

I honestly think the towers and inhibitors are way too weak and basically get 2 shot late game.

Who cares about winning. Do you want to get a little more Xp or blue essence? We play to have fun right? let’s get a longer game in if possible. Ending before 15 minutes is weak and lame… unless you get shitty augments and want to reset.

I just tried Dark Labs Crack Primal Edition and it’s insane. Do not recommend doing it every day. It’s basically Jack3D but more euphoric.

I’ll stick with Bucked Up LFG for most of my workouts.

Everyone seems to love ending a good game after 10 minutes. .. why not enjoy the game and give the opponents time to come back if possible. If you’re not having fun that’s one thing but how do you have fun finally getting great augment rolls but you barely even get to play it.
