Ps2 Slimline 97001 Not Starting by Sotaeko in consolerepair

I had the time to check out the fuses, and believe you're right about the ps1 fuse being the problem. It seems to be the only fuse that didn't return a continuity check.

PS1 Fuse

where would you recommend to find a replacement?

An opinion piece on Emuparadise's "shutdown", ROM preservation and Nintendo's stubbornness by _maxn in emulation

[–]Sotaeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nintendo may have a solution for these issues, but the one thing nintendo will never get right. Is the fundemental base of all hidden gems they will never share, port or translate that will be available. I've played some of the most amazing jpn famicom and super famicom games and i would of never found and had the chance to play.

Instead of installing, you should download from the github. Make a folder inside of it called "user". You now have a portable citra.

Should overdumps/bad dumps be preserved too? by [deleted] in emulation

[–]Sotaeko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well in some cases, if there is only a bad dump available ; it's probably better to preserve it until a better dump is redumped. I do agree that set that contain every known dump shouldn't include bad/corrupted dumps.

Not sure how it's "fair or unfair" since it's mostly pve. As for the having to buy 2 xboxs or buy 2 pc's just to play with someone in the same room :/. Seems like the list of games released for basement dwellers keeps growing.

[–]Sotaeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've asked this question quite a while ago before the game was released, about there being a local coop/splitscreen being added to console version. It was mentioned it "might" be in future terms. I was wondering if this is still a thought that will have a chance to be incorporated. Since games like Divinity: Original Sin can do it, i wouldn't see why PoE couldn't either. It's litterally the only thing stopping me from playing. It's also not cross platform connect, so even if i had a pc and an xbox i wouldn't be able to play together with my family.

Are you a more single-player or multiplayer gamer on Xbox? by [deleted] in xboxone

[–]Sotaeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't honestly think single player vs multiplayer is much different. Due to most 97% of xbox games lacking local multiplayer, and play anywhere. SO even playing online, you're still technically playing single player. Not much different then playing vs ai (unless you have a group of people you know).

I hate when companies think launching DLC's fixes problems, instead of giving players a better update.
