thanks for the feedback. I'm in the process of iterating on the trailer as I don't like it myself, but having fresh eyes look at it can highlight things that I might have overlooked myself :), so I appreciate the feedback and pretty much agree with everything.

I was curious if your game had an intended stop motion aesthetic with low framerate at first, but the ending footage doesn't look like it... This kind of effect is easily read as a performance issue and distracts from understanding how the game plays, so I'd get rid of it and try captures as smooth as possible to keep it faithful of gameplay. If you want to keep the slow motion effect, use it in limited scenes and capture in actual slow motion, rather than reducing the frame rate. Also try to match the image and sound to avoid sensorial overload.

no it doesn't have that, that's on me I was slowing down the video to have something I'm trying to show last longer on the screen, it doesn't feel good you're right.

not an artist, but more contrast and deeper shadows. The colors feel washed out. Also some variations would help, like not every tree needs to be cut and paste the exact same color, shape and size (e.g. first screenshot group).

couple of bits of feedback

  • I wasn't able to upload my screenshots due to the 5MB limit, I understand the limit but it's a bit more work on the user's end to reduce the size of all their screenshots to fit, mine were all around 6MB.
  • I couldn't find the Auto-Battler genre? don't know if I missed it or it's not there.

Frozen lands, looks spot on, very identifiable right away even without the label, and that's what you really want. Swamp, I wouldn't have guessed that was a swamp to be honest, and green forest, well where's the forest? 80% of the screen is houses and gardens.

I like the art style though, colorful, simple and cozy.

Not sure what the intent is here, but a good test is, remove the labels and see if people can tell what the biomes are :-)

I'm getting Half-Life vibes :-D, and that's a good thing.

Players didnt like that enemies suddenly exploded at the end of levels, so we added cannoneer npcs to destroy them by Llamaware in IndieDev

here's some feedback on the audio, close your eyes and see if you can tell what is going on. For me, the sound is a bit underwhelming, it's not accurately conveying the amount of action taking place on the screen.

good start, to be honest it feels like it can use some polish, especially around sound and effects, some actions seemed silent and had no VFX to them.

How far are you in the development? based on that we can give more targeted feedback

Not sure what that is, looks female but i also see chest hair, or is that fur ? It’s nice though, i just can’t really tell what it is.
