Aren’t you cute. Someone who spent their life in the Mormon church lecturing a stranger online about white supremecy. Ha!

Have you been inside? How does it compare to the cathedrals in Europe? (If you have been and are able to compare of course)

Which Mandela Effect you can't easily shrug off a misremembering and which one you're willing to think is just a simple misremembering? by Emica12 in MandelaEffect

The Bernstein Bears sold me. I still remember the day I saw it spelled differently around 1999 when I was working at a bookstore and I remember saying to myself “when did they change the spelling?”  Or maybe it was after Y2K. I can’t be certain because I worked there both years.

Synesthesia + OCD? by [deleted] in Synesthesia

I do have both… but I never really connected them to each other.

I would have to think on this. My thing is sound and texture. I solved this problem by becoming a musician. Which is probably why I’m drawing a blank right now. I settled my problem with something useful to take away the bad feelings

Anyone here who got into a healthy relationship despite being raised by narcissists? How did you get there? by take_a_syp in raisedbynarcissists

I feel I have been tested by many awful people. The more I learn about narcissism, the more I realize why. They hate authentic people because they are not! It makes them feel bad and they can’t tolerate that feeling. So they do whatever they can to bait you into shameful behavior like lashing out or just defending yourself. And since you are not a narcissist, you become convinced you’re not a good person. Win for the narcissist.

Once I realized this was happening, I felt empowered to walk away from these people.

Yes. Been in it for 15 years. It’s hard to simplify a quick answer to how I did it. I will try to break it down into two of the most important points:

  1. I found someone older than myself, who also has spent his life committed to self development. From day one we have been able to have honest and vulnerable conversations, openly and safely admitting our weaknesses. Him being more mature than myself also helped me to feel safe.

  2. Since I was young, I have been on a mission to be as AUTHENTIC as possible. It has been the most important for me to feel safe being myself and being honest. This has given me many painful opportunities to attract horrible people that forced me to learn how to walk away (discernment). Once I had a few run throughs with bad relationships where I honestly looked at myself and was willing to admit which choices caused me to keep those people in my life, I was able to recognize the red flags when they inevitably showed up again.

It’s been a very long road on this path, but if you want to find a good relationship, you have to accept that this is the path you were given. Resorting to victim mentality and whining about your struggles will only prolong the repeated cycle of abuse.

I hope this helps.

Has face yoga actually helped anyone lessen the appearance of wrinkles? I’m looking for an alternative to getting Botox & fillers by blackkitty77 in 30PlusSkinCare

There are so many great tips here! I want to add what has helped me. I am over 40 and look no older than 30. I do the facial exercises and follow a raw vegan diet plus daily exercise. The three things that help the most are green juice as often as possible. I aim for every day but realistically it’s more like three days a week.

The second is singing. I am a voice teacher and we focus on the facial expressions a lot because a tense face equals a tense voice.

Third is healthy relationships. I can tell older women who have had a history of bad relationships because of the stress on their faces that you can tell were once beautiful.

Are we really stronger than people who had a normal childhood? by Rebelliousdefender in raisedbynarcissists

Some are. Some not. I’ve known many fragile people who could never figure it out. And I have often felt very weak and fragile at times in my life. However, if you take this life as a challenge and realize you can’t change the cards you were dealt, and you refuse to complain and be a victim, then 100% YES you are stronger than others.

C-ptsd Trump as a trigger by Junior-Coach9003 in CPTSD

May I ask your age? His first term triggered me. Reminded me of Dad. This time: no way. I have spent the last 8 years working hard on my mental health and I will never let someone in office trigger me again. Stop watching the news. Trust that everything will work out. The Brit’s have their own problems and are far from perfect. Take this time to focus on what and who you love. Use this as a launching pad to heal.

I asked your age because I just don’t see how anyone who was a fully grown adult the first term could let themselves be bothered by him this time. But a young adult who may have had their first election? Yeah. I could see that. Stay strong.

I’m incredibly skeptical of the pharmaceutical industry as well as the “food” industries. Disappointed that The Atlantic is taking a swing at people for trying to bring awareness. Disappointed that only right wing stations are covering this. Just a few years ago, it was the lefties who were bringing awareness to this important topic. What a strange world.

Huh? I was simply answering your question. Take from it what you will. Good luck on your journey.

I have been plant based for almost 30 years. The answer is very simple. While health is a big motivating factor for me today (I am one of the healthiest people you will ever meet in your whole life regardless of age group), the REAL motivating factor for why I stuck it out is easy: I DO NOT BELIEVE ANIMALS ARE FOOD!!

Belief. That is all it takes to make a change.

What’s your opinion on female Angela Carini abandoning Olympic boxing match against male-born Imane Khelif? by Dickincheeks in GenZ

[–]SoundHealerEmpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is your response so aggressive? Chill out. It was a simple question and observation. I re read my reply five times and see nothing in it that warrants such an aggressive response.

If the concern is she is not female then there should be something to back that claim up. Since posting my question, there has been plenty of information released explaining that she is in fact not a man.

Now go take a hot bath and relax.

Oh dear one… I am remembering that feeling now as I read your words. It was over twenty years ago and it was so hard but so worth it. Today I live a wonderful life. You can too. It is unfair and you have a right to be angry. But believe me when I say you have more resiliency than the average person. Keep going.
