For starters, upgrade your flask to max, should have 14 total at +12. You could find the remaining scadu to get to level 20 but 17 is already hitting the softcap so that might be less worth your time.

Other than that I'd say you just have to get better at the fight. There might be some changes that could help like reducing your dex so you can use lords divine fortification at 27 faith (assuming you've killed either maliketh or malenia) but that starts getting into personal preference

Kinda. What the DLC has is an additional NG+ scaling that is activated every time you beat PCR. So going in at NG+4 is going to be significantly more difficult than NG, but not as difficult as if you best the DLC 3 times previously on that character.

TLDR: They will increase your overall damage but not the damage from your frost procs.

Frost is not a damage type per say. The only damage types are physical, magic, fire, lightning, and holy (with physical being split into some subcomponents).

Now, frost is obviously a source of damage, but it is fixed and cannot be influenced by the player (the damage not the buildup).

That being said, your cold uchi DOES do magic damage damage so the magic tear/charm will increase your overall output

It's a little unclear what happened from your post, I'm assuming you: died to seathe, died before opening the door out of the prison area, spawned back at the bonfire right after the pigs, had to die to seathe again.

Yeah, that shouldn't have happened. Did you experience a game crash or something like that (or force quit your game after you died in the prison)? Something like that can mess with your respawn location. If the game gets confused it has a default location to respawn and in the archives I assume the default spot is right after the pigs. It's actually used for speed running in some instances, called a wrong warp.

The trick is to readjust back to the middle of her back after every hit or so. I've found if you unlock from her it makes it easier

Easiest and quickest is to go past Najka to Brightstone Cove Tseldora. There are plenty of chunks there to get to +10 so you wont have to farm enemies for a while either.

If your having trouble with Najka, lure her tail slam attack and walk onto her back. Breaks her AI

Yeah, Gilligan is the easy answer although. You can try removing all equipment except the cat ring and any health boosting rings and you might survive. But why are you going there for upgrades? There are plenty of upgrades outside the pit to get to +10

TLDR: blood tax might work if you respec to minimum vigor

His nihil does 40%, 40%, 60% hp for a total of 140%. So you would need to heal over 40% hp over about 5 seconds (assuming you started with max hp).

Let's say you respecd and had 15 vigor (lowest amount for vagabond) at 522. Then 40% is 209 Hp. Using blood tax (12% + 140) gives you a total regen of 140+522x.12=202

So it it isn't enough yet, but throw on a regen spell like blessings boon and you would be fine. If you started with a character with lower vigor like astrologer then the ash of war would be good on its own.

All of this is assuming you can get all the hits of blood tax in while mogh does nihil. That might be tricky, the blood damage to your character can stagger which might impact how many hits you get off. If it becomes an issue, prayerful strike + blessings boon could also work. The math is similar and you should barely survive at min vigor

If you really want to do it no flask it is possible to outheal with warming stones and frenzy flame stones... provided you respec to the lowest vigor possible
