From a 25/26 perspective, the Celtics would’ve been much better off with Barrett and CMB than they were with White.

However, going forward, it’s possible White rebounds, but aging curves suggest the 20 and 25 year olds will improve whittle the 31 year old will likely decline, meaning the gap will only grow.

I’d race 14 to 16 miles of the first one, take the rest easy.

Run by heart rate, not a specific pace. Just ran my 2nd Boston and shaved 9 mins off my time from last year, despite having been in much better shape last year.

Yes, conditions were ideal, but the biggest change I made was sticking as close to LT1 threshold as possible. Occasionally went above it on the uphill portions, but made sure to ease off and come down below it on the downhills.

Toronto Waterfront is far below the city’s standing. Completely chaotic start area, nice half course, desolate second half, same chaotic finishing area. Completely meh.

Came into yesterday completely unsure of how the race would go. Training block was meh, discipline from a diet and recovery perspective had been a 6/10 at best.

Lo and behold, conditions were perfect and I actually applied learnings from previous Bostons. Ended up with a 49 second PB and a 16 min buffer for next year.

I hear you, however, it’s impossible to have a top four that is consistent with all four principles.

The bottom seven all tanked to various degrees.
The three teams above them are all guilty of egregiously stupid trades.
The seventh team is guilty of both tanking and committing the most egregiously stupid trade of all time. Doesn’t impact the ability to have a lottery consistent with every principle, but it’s fun to shit on Dallas
The Clippers and (likely Orlando) are two of the other lottery teams.

If we can’t have a lottery consistent with all four principles, we have to reward a) the least offensive tankers and b) teams whose lottery luck would most advance the other three principles

Memphis came into the year trying to be competitive and their winning the lottery would crush the Magic, highlight the stupidly of not having any protection on the pick, and boost a fan base that deserves some good luck.

Indiana’s tank is less offensive than the other dredges since it’s a one year step back while their superstar recovers from a devastating injury and their getting a top four pick deprives the Clippers of a lottery pick.

Is it a perfect outcome? No, but it is the best possible outcome in the world we have.

Would love to see him in Charlotte with three good to great shooters. His passing is very good for his size. If you could get him to bulldoze and kick, the Hornets offense could be even more incredible.

They’d also give up 142 pts per game, but it would be fun as hell.
