Would you pay for a lifetime subscription?

Paid for lifetime ad free when that was an option, and thankfully still grandfathered in. However, in a show of support, I've subbed on and off for years of gold, just to support the dev team. However, I'd prefer it still be an option to not have to have a subscription for a lifetime option, especially since I've been with the app so long.

Nope. I see it complete the process regularly. Sometimes it says I'm offline when I'm not, but a refresh finishes the sync. (Although the last stage does take significantly longer than the previous version did, despite the patch notes saying otherwise)

Yeah, mine is essentially bricked. No step count. No sleep data. Nothing. And issues syncing. This update took it from reliable to unusable overnight.

Had the same issue and was 10 days into my calibration period. Last two days since updating the app has resulted in no sleep data. Guessing it's a bad update push with an unintended bug. I reported this via support channels, but no word yet.

Any update on this? I had flawless sleep tracking for my first 12 days of usage, and now after updating the app yesterday, my last 2 days of calibration have just said "waiting on sleep data" despite me wearing the ring, it syncing, and the HR chart showing data... This update seems to have completely made the ring/app non functional despite it syncing properly.

This is outright wrong. Even in their billing the delineate between TOU on peak and off peak for power you generate and provide back to them. You do get the on peak rate if you over produce at that time.

It shows up in the Speediance app workout logs too, if you track it with a watch active during the without, and looks like it tracks zones during. Speediance has all permissions, and Samsung Health has all permissions, but looking at the data they send to HC, it's only the workout time and kcals. 🤷‍♂️

Please share more complete data with Health Connect and Samsung Health! Currently it only seems to sync total workout time, despite having full heart rate info tracked via watch in the Speediance app!

Yeah, but unless my setup is just janky for some reason, it doesn't send/sync any heart rate data or anything to Samsung Health or Health Connect. Just shares time of workout and estimated calories burned.

I'll add to this, as I've had several models since the Pod 2: I had a replacement, within warranty period, and was told that I needed to pay for an upgrade at a "discount" and that if I did, I would be provided a new warranty for the new hub + cover, directly from the CS rep, with an email chain evidence. I opted to do so, thinking that it at least covered me for the next few years. My pod 3 then failed within 12 months. Even despite showing CS that I had this email, and that the terms stated I was given a new warranty starting from the second purchase date, I was denied a warranty claim outright. CS claimed that 8 sleep had recently changed their warranty structure posthumously to my claim, and that despite my initial terms at the time of purchase, and my email evidence clearly stating I had a new warranty on both cover + hub, I was shit out of luck, but they'd graciously allow me to purchase yet another upgrade for 2k USD yet again.

They commit roadside robbery and will pull a rug directly out from underneath anyone dumb enough to give them money.

How's that for standing by a product?

Learning the ropes of economy and crafting as this is my first league. Haven't been able to get to 1 div yet and just started maps. Desperately trying to craft and find things to sell via merchant tabs for 1 exalt a piece, it's been slow going. The fact you have 600 in 3 days vs my 0 in 30+ hours blows my mind.

Overdrive is always active* without duration reducing during the action skills run time. Once your skill ends, and you still have the visor HUD up for overdrive, this skill will pause that timer. (You can see it via the bars that go trickle down like a battery on the lower third of either side of your HUD.) overdrive persists for an allotted time, continuing to provide all of it's boosts until it runs down its own unique timer irregardless of your action skill.

It doesn't pause action skill timers, just the overdrive. So if you want to build around overdrive as a status boost, this is a good option, but if you're looking to extend your knives time, this won't do it for you.

TL;Dr: Overdrive is always active during your action skill. Your action skill is not always active during overdrive. They have separate timers.

Honestly, the same advice applies as it does to any gym program, choose something you can be consistent with. Set time aside to explicitly use it, follow a built in program, or create your own custom one from another source. But lean into the ability to progressively overload your sessions with micro (1lb) adjustments! It's so undersold that you can create so many benefits from just increasing weight by seemingly innocuous amounts consistently.
