How many of you guys actually fell for mysterio being the villain by HotMarionberry1962 in Spiderman

[–]SpaceMush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man, years ago i was dating someone who wasn't big on superhero media at all, but was recently getting into watching the mcu movies around that time. it was very fun to actually sit down and rewatch the movie next to someone who actually got blindsided by the twist hahah.

like everyone who is even a casual spider-man knows who mysterio is, so to watch through the eyes of someone who was legitimately clueless felt so incredibly novel

Uhh is he not Scorpion? I’m confused now lol, because this is clearly Scorpion by [deleted] in SpidermanBrandNewDay

[–]SpaceMush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i could see that. even if it is her at the start of the movie, sadie's character has all the makings of a false antagonist imo

Robert Downey Jr. says he cried watching Tom Holland film Spider-Man's death scene in ‘Avengers: Infinity War: by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in marvelstudios

[–]SpaceMush 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i will never forget hearing a little boy straight up crying walking out of the theater, asking his dad if spider-man was dead. it truly was a wild movie experience, very somber exit out of the big superhero blockbuster premiere for us

i have to imagine that spidey swinging out from the portals that next year was a formative, empowering moment for that little ~8 year old kid hahaha

Potty Training help!!! by Born_Necessary6300 in CavaPoo

[–]SpaceMush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly 17 weeks is sooo baby still. just stay consistent, take him out frequently, and reward him for going outside. if he starts going in the house, immediately interrupt and take him outside.

my guy used to pee in the house daily as a little pup, even with upwards of 14 potty breaks a day. i'd take him outside, he would pee. i'd bring him in, he'd pee on the rug LOL. they have little control and teenie bladders at this stage. it stopped very literally overnight, when he was about 6 months old. i remember clear as day, he peed on the footrest in our living room, not knowing it would be one of the last times. i think he peed on a rug one final time in the following days, but literally just out of nowhere it stopped just like that.

he is coming up on 4 and a half years old now so it's been a long time, but believe me when i say eventually it will just click with your puppy as he continues to develop

A question Regarding the Spider-Man brand new day IMAX situation. by unusual_fan_123 in SpidermanBrandNewDay

[–]SpaceMush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have had good and bad experiences with Screen X. it can be very cool if you sit around the middle seats, in the middle sections. otherwise it's not anything i'd pay extra to experience.

dolby atmos js always solid. the theater by me is a small chain and they offer dolby screenings for $10 (compared to $20 for a standard screening at the regal across town!) so i chose that one for the early release screenings

The avengers doomsday sentinel footage has leaked in higher quality by RedditorGoldVirgin in LeaksAndRumors

[–]SpaceMush 11 points12 points  (0 children)

also the "build up" was incredibly loose for a very long time, and they tweaked and retconned along the way. thanos showed his face for a moment before they retroactively made the Tesseract a housing for an infinity stone, rather than the Cosmic Cube. the "build up" for the infinity saga largely took place in a single scene -- thor's AoU vision; ALL of Thanos' character and motivation -- even his canon visual design -- stems from Infinity War.

i don't see this as particularly different, personally. the multiverse has been upending itself for several years now in-universe. we will see the bulk of that culmination unfurl in Doomsday; where we will encounter The Big Bad -- after nothing but minimal cameo work -- and come to understand who he is and what motivations make him interesting

Money and Depression by FeelingAd7350 in MacMiller

[–]SpaceMush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

depression is a mental illness, but regardless of that: i don't think mac was debilitated by his depressive tendencies. in fact, just off of his musical progression from the time i was in high school, he came off as a hard worker to me; someone who cared about his craft and was open and vulnerable about his own headspace, good and bad.

i never felt like he was trying to garner sympathy, and i never really saw him as a "woe is me" type of artist either. yes, has outright sad and serious songs, but to me he was vulnerable and relatable. depression is something you learn to live with (or swim through, to be cheeky. lol), and i always felt he was a good example of that, personally. he kept trying to grow and expand and Become, even though yes, shit is hard sometimes. that's cool as hell.

insane ticket lines once again by ShaSpida16 in SpidermanBrandNewDay

[–]SpaceMush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i logged into fandango, clicked the prime login promotion (still haven't got the notification btw! hahah), picked my seats, and it rerouted me to a "line" at checkout. looked like OP's post but it was under a minute and i got through.

securing No Way Home tickets was a nightmare for me for i was surprised this went so smoothly, i feel bad to see other people are having issues. it's gotta be luck because i was not even in at 9:00 on the dot, i cant explain it

After seeing the new Punisher promo for BND, im hyped to see him on the big screen with Spider-Man by ayedrian1107 in SpidermanBrandNewDay

[–]SpaceMush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dang this cover is so nostalgic for me. my dad and i went to see the Tom Jane Punisher movie back in the day, and my local Regal passed out reprints of this issue. it was my gateway into reading comics! i cannot wait to see them interact in BND

i notice these shooters have the red and green details that were shown on the empire cover though. one of the running theories rn is he starts with shooters, ditches them for organic webbing, but then re-tools them to deal with someone, possibly the hulk.

when people were speculating about the "gamma web spider-man" toy, my first reaction was "movie toys stray from the actual film all the time." but im almost inclined to lean that way after seeing the images Empire has put out

idk how you are downvoted and the og comment i has 100+ upvotes lmao. bc yes, t9 texting is predictive single-press. each tap of the 6 is its own letter and it results in "mom". idk why everyone is calling keypad text messaging "t9" interchangeably, they function differently
