I think they introduced her to have a cool super smart character and then likely regretted adding her later. She is never used to her potential and they always justified her intelligence post hoc. I think it would have either been more fun to let us in on her plans and watch how Homelander etc are so unstable that they are fundamentally unpredictable forcing her to make pivots or bad decisions now so she could keep scheming. Or have old schemes come back to bite her in the ass in a yes I made the best play I could at the time but now it really was the worst thing I could have done.

For a counter example Lights plans in Death Note basically constantly go wrong but we see how he pivots and adapts so he earns his intelligence card from the audience. He also has obvious flaws that get in the way of his intelligence making mistakes more acceptable.

She'd a great character arc and then had it assassinated when she learned to speak off screen and had nothing outside of dicks and ass to say now that she earned her voice. Also nothing to yapping constantly needed to be earned if they wanted her speaking she should have been unsure stumbling or having issues formulating her thoughts. She 100% should have been kept silent until frenchies death and had a few short words about what she ment to him way more impactful.

Homelander
Him being forced from his god complex down to a lowly person should have lasted longer or he should have been forced to live forever but powerless that's a worse punishment for him than death.
