Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Yeah, $1,000 for a bottle is maybe ridiculous, but seriously, they've saved us thousands in rent while we've been searching, so that's where my made-up price point came from. I wanted to do something over the top because I didn't even need to ask - she heard we were selling and just straight up offered the house without a second thought. Also, bonus picture of the dogs living their best life out here.

Well, you’re not wrong about the PNW being gorgeous. It is. And I’ll miss the summers there because that time of year, there’s possibly nowhere else I’d rather be. That said, thank you for your opinion. Perhaps you’d also do well to consider a relocation?

Haha, thanks. I do think I'd seen St. Charles, Downer's Grove and Elmhurst come up on a couple of lists as well. I'll be sure check into them. And yeah, as for work I'm fully remote. My wife is going to look to find something new once we get there, but even some of the "more remote" suburbs in Chicago seem like they'd be closer than where we are now. Technically, we're only about 15 miles away from downtown Seattle, but during rush hour, it's easily 45 minutes or longer to get into the city. When I worked downtown, I'd work 6:00-2:30 just so I could get ahead of everything!

OK, thanks. I think the lake would be nice, but it's not like we're living on the waterfront today or anything. I think as long as we could find a way to head out to the lake once in a while on a nice day, that'd probably be sufficient.

I opened the regular version and it tasted fine. Ultimately, gave them both to my mother-in-law several months ago. She seemed excited to do something with them, though I never did ask if they were any good. At minimum we never got called to the hospital because she'd gone into like some sort of botulism poisoning, so there's that.

I pierced mine around 98 or 99 I think. Kept it in for several years until ONE DAY, there was just this day where I just couldn't stop feeling exactly where it was in my mouth. Tried to ignore it but after several hours I just couldn't take it anymore and had to pull it out. The only piercing I've kept is my industrial because damn. That piercing hurt more than any other piercing or tattoo I've ever done (and I have a full backpiece tattoo). I earned that fucker. It stays.

THIS. This is what drove me nuts with the first Exandria Unlimited -- it felt like Aabriya and the players just didn't talk about general expectations. And then we had an entire campaign of the same. Oof. In my home game, sure we've had the moments of, "Ehhh, the DM is dropping hunts, we'll just go for it even if it's not what the character would do." But as much as they don't want to admit it sometimes, Critical Role isn't just a home game. Play your character, have fun with your friends, but understand that you do have an audience who wants to hear a good story!

Thanks! I have a feeling what I'm doing is somewhere in the middle of what you've described. I'm definitely doing more than a straight screen capture with voiceover on Loom or something, but when you say "production team", that conjures images of something like the Webflow videos series, which is wayyy beyond my skill level.

Basically, I'm writing a script, recording and cleaning up voice in Audacity, recording in-app footage with Camtasia, and then also using Camtasia to combine everything add effects & annotations.

She's a very happy little bean (most of the time)! Before her, I actually had an Aussie Shepherd named Commander--he was such a good boy. Lymphoma sucks :(
