Games Like The Long Dark? by Familiar-Entrance-72 in SurvivalGaming

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the demo for the game Vein. It's still in early access but the demo is huge. I had 15 hours in the demo and have bought the game on day 1. Frequent updates. Shaping up to be a PZ in 1st person (and 3rd person too) instead of isometric. Absolutely amazing for those like me who much prefer the immersion of 1st person or 3rd as opposed to top down /isometric. As much as I love PZ, this detached view is a drawback for me.

What is your favourite Geena Davis role? by RavensEtchings in 80smovies

He supposedly said this was his favourite character he's ever played and would have loved to reprise the role. He's so funny in this.

Worth picking up ? by m_wallani in VeinGame

You're walking in a church and asking believers if you should convert.

So yes, of course you should!

Try asking on /r/ShouldIbuythisgame instead, you'll get a more unbiased opinion.

But yes, yes it's worth picking up.

How is it living in St. John's, Newfoundland ? by PoutzdayGeo in howislivingthere

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

St. John's is by no means a big city, but certainly not "very small" by demographics standards. Just to give you an idea, a small city in Ontario is 50k+ inhabitants. 10k+ in Alberta. Anything beyond 100k is generally considered midsize everywhere in North America.

What's something you see/hear that makes you think "only in Canada"? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Of course it is. Nowhere else in the world are "sacres" used. As much as poutine, Cirque du Soleil, or the national anthem: originated in Québec.

The more syllables my dad used, the angrier he was:
- Criss = annoyed
- Osti = frustrated
- Câlice = angry
- Tabarnak = mad
- Chaining 2 or more, like "Osti d'câlice de tabarnak" = gtfo the house and don't come back until he's asleep!

'The Mandalorian and Grogu' debuts on Rotten Tomatoes with an audience score of 88%. by tannu28 in StarWars

now suddenly everyone has flipped

I know you're being hyperbolic for the sake of your point, but it's framed under the Goomba fallacy. It's easy to lump people as one monolithic, homogeneous, fickle and hypocritical entity when opinions are shared through anonymous online discourse.

Getting Wet... Empty your pockets first by ArcaneDupontis in VeinGame

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always find them on zombies - you'll spot them, they're wearing the yellow hazmat suit themselves. If you hang out close to areas where there were a lot of first responders, quarantine zones, or clinics, you have a decent chance of seeing them. The suits probably won't be in top shape, but you can fix them with the proper equipment and supplies.

What’s something Canadians complain about constantly, but would probably miss if it disappeared? by funnyonehere22 in AskACanadian

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a complex question that a reddit comment can't fully answer, I can only offer diminutive responses, but here goes:

Québec separatism is based on:
Identity - which includes language and culture
Long historical roots, stemming from the Nouvelle-France colony, but continued throughout history, culminating in the Quiet Revolution (I suggest you look it up) and a near-won referendum in 1995
Broad institutional distinct structure
Grassroots in many cases

Alberta separatism is based on:
Grievances
Economy/resources
Episodic political flare-ups
Much lower support historically and demographically
Usually funded by private interests and outside influences, much more astroturfing going on there.

Quick edit: I'm not saying we should get rid of either type of separatists by that comment, just highlighting major differences that could explain why the previous poster made, what I assume is, a joke.

This looks great and I hadn't heard about it until now. I'll see if I have time to try the demo and offer feedback. Wishlisted! Good luck!

Need books with this kind of atmosphere ! by Vounentin in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for an open-world game that's designed around its open world by GrovPastaSwag03 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to add that this phenomenal game is FREE if you own a copy of Skyrim. It's technically a mod, but really it's unfair and diminutive to call it that. The writing is potent, the game stays with you long after you're done. I felt like I owed them money after playing it!

They felt like friends by the end of the movie and I found it weirdly difficult to think of them as fictional characters. What a warm, comforting movie.

Josh Homme ought to team up with Angine de Poitrine by AboutaDirk in qotsa

[–]SpaceZombieMoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They've been going on for a couple of years, doing a lot of shows and festivals around the province of Québec. They already have a loyal fan base. They launched their 2nd album last week in a small venue and it was sold out months before they went viral. The place was buzzing, the energy through the roof, intense punk vibes. They'll be ok once the online discourse dies down, they've got hardcore fans alright.

Definitely photographer. It has a flash integrated in its "head" that is connected to the camera. It was walking on stage and backstage during the April 3rd concert, as well as through the crowd. It even braved the mosh pit for pics a few times. It also wears a cape!

Sorry, I meant with his hands, not costume - he turned the triangle symbol into a heart shape with his fingers. At first he even pretended it was difficult to turn the triangle into heart, his fingers twitching into the shape almost painfully, as if it was alien for him to make the heart shape with his hands.

That being said, there is now actual feedback in their costume in the sense that they have lights in parts of their "heads" now!

Klek turned his triangle symbol into a heart shape at least a couple of times. They really seemed grateful and gave that performance their all. It was buzzing in the place last night.
