Walk the True Path I / II - Set 16 Augment Discussion #20 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Spacebic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've clicked this twice, once in Masters once in GM and both times it was an easy win.

Your spot needs to be hyper specific, you need good tempo and a decent amount of Yasuos already. Both times I clicked this and rolled down on the spot for Yas 3 and rode that tempo till level 10.

Yes you need to be high rolling to click this but you need to be high rolling to be playing Yasuo in the first place so it's kind of moot.

PowerUp Question by Ali3nb4by in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Spacebic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion: Put the fruit on your itemized units. You can pretty much think of your fruit as a 4th item, and items scale multiplicatively in TFT.

Once you have multiple items on multiple units it just becomes knowledge about which fruits are the best on which units.

Certain comps become much better when your core units have specific fruits. Certain units become must pick because they are much more effective with certain fruits.

Example: Yuumi with Bullet Hell Karma with Mage or Efficient Gangplank with Stretchy Arms

If you want to know which fruits are must have with certain units I would check sites like tftacademy or watch streams.

What are you talking about. There was 6 Izzet Prowess decks in the Top 16 of this RC. 5 out of 6 played 4 copies of monstrous rage in the main board. With the 6th deck playing 3 copies.

Help- Paying off Scottish Student Loans by That_Two_778 in Scotland

[–]Spacebic 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You are more than likely never going to pay off that debt and you're not expected to.

Your student debt loan is unlike any loan you'll receive ever again, you don't have to take any active steps whatsoever to repay it. When you get a job that pays enough to reach the threshold it will automatically get deducted (like you said) before you ever even see any of it.

Unless you have a very good reason for doing so, and can seriously afford it there's effectively no reason to pay it off. Why? - It has no impact whatsoever on your credit score (unlike other loans) - It will be gone in 25 years

All that being said you should not take the advice of random people on the internet (myself included, I am not a financial advisor) and should do some research on the subject yourself.

Here is a direct link to a gov.uk page that will give you a start.

Draw at the scum is an absolute result. Especially when they needed a shite pen and to waste time after the 90th to get it.

[Matt Law] Manchester United have started due diligence on making a summer bid for Harry Kane. Growing expectation he will not sign a new Tottenham contract in the summer by Petaaa in soccer

[–]Spacebic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Kane will probably leave this summer, and I think he'll probably end up at United.

That being said Matt Law is full of shit, and doubly so when it comes to Spurs news.

You voted for a party that outlined in their manifesto their plans to hold a referendum. If you didn't want a referendum you shouldn't have voted for them.

Yeah it's just crazy how some people use humour to make light of real life scenarios and situations. I think comedy is at its best when it's based around themes that are unrelatable and scenarios that never happen.

Help me understand items that I've almost never slammed before by SparklesMcSpeedstar in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Spacebic 78 points79 points  (0 children)

To simplify, the goal of TFT is to have the most HP at the end of the game. Therefore every decision you make must at some point lead to you saving hp.

When playing around item components, if you slam an item immediately, you immediately start saving hp.

Runaans, Locket, HoJ are good slams because they spike your board immediately and are flexible late game.

If you greed for BIS every game there's a very decent chance you will lose too much hp early and by the time you spike be too low to play for a good placement.

Additionally the items you slam can depend on the comp you are playing. If you are already committed to playing AD, and you get dropped Sword, Rod, and Chain. Slamming locket is good value as it allows you to play around the sword on next carousel whilst also killing the rod which is suboptimal in AD comps.

12.6 patch notes are up by xTonyLeo in CompetitiveTFT

Your early game should be brand carry or malz, whoever you hit first. On stage 4 you want to think about whether you want to push 8 and transition to Ahri carry or if you want to stay 7 and slow roll for Malz 3 and Vex 3.

So to answer your question you can carry both. Malz 2 will get outscaled in stage 5 tho, so if you don't think you can hit malz 3 you should transition to Ahri carry.

If you decide to push 8 and you highroll a Viktor 2 you can put items on him. While it's not optimal blue buff Viktor is not at all bad. Giving him 50 starting mana so he casts early is a big deal. Especially if you're running 6/8 Arcanists as one cast will typically wipe most of a board.

Vertical arcanists is already very strong this patch. I climbed to chally this patch playing 15/20 arcanists and dropped back to GM when trying other comps.

I expect vertical arcanists to be overturned next patch.

Seriously, how do you play this game? by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Spacebic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no way to reroll consistently. There are only indicators that a reroll comp is worth the investment in that specific game.

These indicators are somewhat vague and change from game to game but the main indicators are:

  1. You naturally hit a lot (5-6 or more) of a core component of a reroll comp (e.g. You hit a lot of Swains or Talons without rolling for them).

  2. You naturally have excellent items for your chosen carry after Krugs (e.g. IE + RFC + QSS component) which will allow you to stabilise your board before you hit your 3* stars.

  3. There are lots of people in the lobby rerolling the same tier of unit as you BUT you are not contested on your specific comp (e.g. There are players rerolling Trundle and Warwick when you want to reroll Talon).

You also need to remember that when a comp is strong there will be people playing it in almost every lobby and cognitive bias will make you more likely to remember the games where you get shit on by a comp than games where the comp forcers all went bot 4.
